CA 75 rx3 master on rx2 booster?

Hi lads,
I wanted to ask if anyone knows if a 75/76/77 rx-3 master will work on a 73 rx-2 booster? I know I could use the earliest rx-7 master w/resevoir attached but I like the idea of the remote resevoir up on the strut tower. The rx-3 masters are still available on rockauto etc (rx-2 NLA). Let me know if any have tried this combo. Cheers ozzy

Im about to try this, as I just picked up a RX3 master to go on my 72 Rx2. It looks to be pretty much the same MC. Ill reply back with results, I should have the MC tomorrow.

I was just looking on Rockauto and if the pictures are correct the one for the 75 RX4 would be a better fit.

That would be great. Looking at them they look similar but you never know. Rockauto had 1 without hoses for $50 and with $80. what kind of hose is best for the fluid?

Not yet kiwi heading up next weekend will post some pics when I get it home in a couple. One thing I did notice is the rx-3 master has 2 plastic outlets on the side as opposed to the 2 banjo bolts on top of the rx-2 master(oldschoolmel could clarify this) I have installed early rx-7 master on my 71 rx-2 coupe and now wish I had asked this before. The stock setup looks much better to me.

..except when the remote reservoir leaks @ those bottom hoses, dripping brake fluid all down the strut tower & engine side wheel wheel, stripping the paint. This is actually what happened with my '72 Coupe before I got it, so I'm going the other way and am going to fit a SA master w/attached reservoir. That way if it leaks for whatever reason it won't be as bad. The previous owner also bolted the res. directly to the strut tower (missing mount for some reason), so I want to undo that. Thanks for reminding me, I need to start working on that soon as I find that SA master.

I have an a few brake boosters (RX-4, RX-3 and RX-2) and pedals also if youre interested Mike. I have no use for them it since I upgraded my RX-3s to FB booster. teh RX-4 booster has 4 studs like the RX-2 so its a direct replacement

Smeags I did consider that mate I know they changed that design for a reason. The Sa rx-7 would look o.k on my rx-2 if I had removed the mounting bracket off the strut tower before paint. Im probably going to go the rx-7 route on my sedan too.
