74 Rx-3

Well, I just have to come to realize that it is impractical for me to keep this for any longer time. I will be selling this car and will like to see if there is an interested buyer. I know enough about the car that I will not be letting go too cheap. Some have offered me like 1500 bucks for it, yeah!! Looking close to 5k if possible. Car: 74 RX-3, 12A street ported, Dellorto 48, RB road race headers, dual belt pulleys, RB race pressure plate, RB 4 prong solid clutch, accell coils, Primaflow muffler, 79 tranny, 390 LSD, full gauges, interior etc. Will like to post pics but have no idea how to, if you like to see it e-mail me at jobossurfer@yahoo.com. Car have been in storage for the last 3 years, started it and drove it for about 20 miles last June, I beleieve it can be driven anywhere in the US after checking normal stuff. Better contact me at my mail address. Thanks, Dave.

Just realized how to post pics

put it on ebay. personally, i can't see u getting that much for it. maybe if it had a decent paint job. the ones that DO bring that kinda money r the ones that r still all original and unmodded. good luck tho.

I forgot to mention, it includes a 13B, bridge ported, Semi-peripheral housings, 92 rotating mass with all new seals, Atkins one piece and never usedCamden SC with a brand new, never used Demon carb. T2 tranny with shifter modified in order not to cut the floor , shifter will remain at same stock location. Also have some more "stuff" for it around the house...

I'll try to expain this "semi-peripheral" the best I can. I got these rotor housings from a friend of mine in Puerto Rico. What al lot of guys there are doing is drilling a hole where the coolant pasage into the manifold goes. The size is not increased by much and a pipe is wedged/welded in place. I have that coolant pasage blocked off in the rotor housing, it can be seen in the pictures. The intake manifold is then drilled to match these new opening and it should go to the secondaries runners on the manifold. I beleive it works better in a RB manifold, I got this one also. Now when the car is running oat idleor at low rpms it wil be normal operation, but once is at WOT and the secondaries open, these modification comes into play and all hell breaks loose. Personally I have not tried this yet but I have been told that such set up will give you a much better power range. For the use of the SC, it will not work as there is no way to route any fuel charge into these secondaries openings, so once tha SC is installed, the manifold will simply block these off. The same can be accomplish with any unmodified manifold.

Thanks. About the SC, is not in the car because I started to get all the parts for a 13B, everything is new, clutch and all, the car has a 12A so the SC will not fit. I just got tired of messing with this and all truth be told, I think I'm getting too old to keep messing with this, I'm 44, even as much as I like this thing (beleive me I do) I have to be realistic and know I will not finish this. The whole 13B convertion is there, just need to be assambeled and put in the car, only thing needed will be the driveshaft which will need to be made but I even have the T2 flanges to mate thetrany to the rear end, just need to get it done. I also have a 0 miles, new rebuilt T2 block, but I plan to keep this one. A friend had this one made for full turbo racing applications and all the internals are new and upgraded. I might use this one in the future, don't know yet, I hope. I just got my son an 87 Supra turbo and I have done all the basic upgrades to it, FMIC, FIPK, DP, exhaust, MHG, ARP head bolts and such. Quite a ride for a 17 years old kid and to be his first car to top it all!!!
