'74 RX-2 auto to manual swap

I found some threads on earlier RX-2s stating later RX-7 manual transmissions were not a bolt in swap, but I am unclear on '74. The car I am looking at has a single dizzy engine (12b?) with an automatic and I would much prefer a manual. Will RX-7 transmissions either early SA or later FB swap directly in?

Any real SA trans will bolt right in.

Will the SA transmissions have the shift lever in the stock location like if the RX-2 came from the factory as a manual? Anything else I would need to watch out for or is it just sourcing pedals, hydraulics and interior bezels for the shift lever? Would I need a different length driveshaft then what should be on the car now?

Thanks for the replies.

Automatics have bigger(wider) trans tunnels, but the hole in the floor should be the same.

As long as your car is a 74, which it is, the trans mount, speedo cable and driveshaft should all go in fine.

Oh I just realized something. The trans mount will be off a few cm which was originally done in '76 for the ribcase 5 speeds which had an extra 5th gear housing bolted on. The 79 4 and 5 speeds use this same mounting position. You may have to slot some of the holes of your tranny crossmember or drill some new holes in your trans mount like I had to do with a 74 REPU to get a 76 ribcase/79 SA 5 speed in it.
