I am looking at purchaseing a 70's RX3 12a engine for $250 bucks. I was wondering if any engine parts from a 80's 12a engine will work? I am new to the rotary world. I am looking for a cheap carburated 12a engine that runs and is complete minus the tranny. So far that is the cheapest running 12a I have found. But since its so old I am worried about the availability of parts and intakes and exhaust manifolds at an affordable price.

depends on how early of a 12a it is. Pre 74 and most everything is special and NLA or you don't want it. Post 74 and alot of stuff interchanges.
