Really digging the way those new stacks and filters look. Very nice. I'm no airflow guy, but I would assume you have enough surface area on each filter to allow proper airflow? I'd think you have more with those but again, I'm no airflow expert.

yeah pretty happy with the overall look. i didnt like what i did with the powder coating on the previous velocity stacks. i dont know airflow wise what they will do to performance but since this is just a "sunday morning" drive vehicle, it really doesnt matter all that much when do you get your car back from Kilo? Hopefully soon before the HOT weather gets here, oh wait it already did in S.FL.

Hey Paps, How are your brakes so far? Mine are toast and I'm coming up empty finding replacements (Napa Refurbs, not sure if thats the right way to go though). How much did the front run you and was the wilwood MC required to run the aerospace brakes?

Thanks

Hey Brad!
Thanks, I was looking through Rock auto. I'm going to have to order from different places as they do not have everything in stock, was hoping to simplify the order. Also I'm guessing the brake lines are sold individually, does anyone know?

Side note - do you still have/make coilovers [enough to match a 4" rear block]?

Thanks,
-Steve

my brakes are areospace and i got the pads directly from them, along with brake lines, disks and calipers. i dont drive the truck all that much, i would say maybe 4-5K miles a year and thus far i have not had to replace the pads. All hardlines were made by me, that is why they look so bad. i sourced all the fittings from a local hydraulic hose shop by my house. Then i went SS lines from the orignal location to the caliper. it may be cheaper to upgrade instead of purchaing everything new from Rockauto. My front brake kit was only $900 and it only takes two weeks to be at your door.

The wilwood MC was not included and i dont think its required, but recommended, to run the arespace brakes. the MC model number is WIL-260-8556P and if i remember correctly it was about $200. Takes some slight modification to fit but nothing a dremel can't take care of.

my rear brakes are also disk but i also have a ford 8.8 rear end. Aeropsace can make you rear brakes but it's about $1500 if you add the emergency brake option, which i did. I know they dont have rear brake dimensions for stock REPU rear end so you would have to provide them with the dimensions and they would custome make it for you. They only charge a fee of $500 if they have to engineer a set of brakes for you.

good luck and post some pics of your project. if you have any other questions, let me know and i will do my best to answer them

Thanks for the info! I'll post more pics when i have some real progress, hah. I apologize for the slight threadjack, I'm looking to do a budget build here as I already have a massive money pit project already.

I hope to have it running safely on the road in the next two weeks. It's a japanese ratrod bosozuku hybrid project. I hope I do not find any additional big issues.

I can still get them, yes. They can lower the front 4-5" no problem, I'd be more concerned with the tire hitting the fenderwell at that low a height. I do them in batches of 5 sets. Post on this thread, say you're interested and once we hit 5 sets I collect the $$ then place the order.

Yup she will be at Markham park with me this year. working on installing a larger raditor because the old one was not up to the task of cooling the 20B. should be done in the next week or so. always good when you have alot of rotary's in the family that way there is always one you can drive. looking to see the 1st gen....havent seen that one yet. you have plenty of time to finish her up.....so get her done

here are some pics of the new raditor....still some work to do but getting close. isntalled second gen Koyo Raditor

Not sure if you are refering to the filters or velocity stacks so i will give you both

Filters are Inglese

The velocity stacks were not on their website but it you contact Brad from Compcams here are the specifics

3.5" billet stack for 50mm throttle body = Part number NG5104-1 ($37.49 each)

1.5" billet stack for 50mm throttle body = Part number NG5103-1 ($24.99 each)

i have always communicated with Brad via e-mail Brad Drake bdrake@compcams.com they are very quick to respond and very fast shipping.

Anyone happen to know stock shock dimensions at ride height? Mount center to mount center? Currently out of state for work, WAY too far to measure myself. Any help would be great!

your welcome...glad i could help...took forever to find those.

Finally finished up my raditor install. Went with a 16" Spal fan and i love it. Very quite compared to my previous set up. Truck does not go past 90 degree. Mostly pinned at 88 but sometimes creeps up to 90 then the fans bring it right back down. Took some modification as always but here is the finished pics.....enjoy.

actually just had the tune cleaned up a bit but i was busy with work so i dropped it of at the tuners and picked it up when he was done. I will ask the tuner's son if he took vids as he handles all the social media side of the business.

here is the link for the pictures that they took while the car was on the dyno.
