Hi guys,

I'm new on this forum, but not new to mazda forums at all....anywho, I'm researching a lot of different ideas for my next project car...my current car is a 03 mazdaspeed protege which I just finished forging and dropping in a t3 kit, however its been a long process due to not doing enough research during every step of the way

however, I'm getting started early with the next project so I can avoid a lot of those hassels! haha, so here I am

Ive narrowed down the possibilities of project cars and I think I have finally come up with two options I would like to do...I'd like to stick to mazda however which is why the main option I'm looking into is a 20b rotary

what I would ideally like to do is a 20b swap into a rx7 FD roller chassis, however I might wind up using an FC chassis if I cannot locate a FD in good enough condition

anywho, onto what I was looking to find out here:
the 20b I know only came with an automatic transmission, however...would it be possible to switch over to a manual transmission from a 13b? I would imagine that it would mount up the same, but at the same time that is all guess work haha

as far as tuning that I will be running a standalone engine management, and I'm leaning a lot towards the microtech as that is what I run in my current car and I like the software interface with it (and considering its designed more for rotaries too lol....)

anyways, any insight into this is greatly appreciated!
