1974 4 door RX4 feeler thread:

Hey all, I've got a 74 4 door thats been sitting for the passed 10 years in a garage or under a cover with ~86000 miles on it, ~12000 of which are on a Mazda reman. I need to rebuild the carb and do a slight tuneup but other than that the car is a dream, specially on the highway. The body is in pretty damned good condition, with slight surface rust in a couple prone spots, as well as an absolutely pristine interior. I was wondering what you all think it would be worth to someone who is an older RX connoisseur. Thanks much for the input!

Well that depends, largely on where sb is. If you're in Santa Barbara, you'll likely find a good buyer on the west coast. If you're in South Brampton, UK, not so much. If you throw up a few pics, we can give you an honest idea, though.

Haha, yeah, SB as in Santa Barbara, CA. I'll grab a few shots of it later today. Thanks.

Here you go:

So thats what we got. Sorry about the crappy crooked photos, I was kinda in a hurry... Like I said there is surface rust in a few spots on the body. no cancer however. There is also a fair bit of surface rust under the hood. Other than that this car is mechanically sound.

*edit* I had just rinsed off all the dust etc from storing the car so while it's not THAT shiny in person, the paint is still in very good condition considering its all original.

To be honest I'm making this thread to ask what the community thinks its worth. My goal is to start on an RX3 project and this car just happened to fall in my lap. That being said, if you're actually interested, why don't you send me a PM and we can talk about it.

Excellent. Unfortunately I wont be making it to SevenStock this year, though you'll see my coworker/buddy Aaron at the Mariah Motorsports booth. I sent you a PM about the Rx3

Ah, cest la vis. I really dig this car, however ever since my first second gen my goal has been to create a clean pre-smog rx3.
