TX 13BREW Powered Miata

I am currently trying to engine swap a 13BREW into a 1st Gen Miata. I have found a engine but I have not purchased it yet I am still comparing prices. also I have found a Miata and I am talking to the owner about prices . Now with that said, Has any1 done this conversion with a 13BREW? I know 13BT's have been done in the past but no 13BREW's yet. If any1 knows of any 13BREW conversions that have been done to a Miata plz let me know A.S.A.P. Other than the Engine does any1 have any other tips of other parts needed for the swap? This is my first project and any and all information would be of great help. Thank you for your time.

Peace

P.S. Rotary For Life

im pretty sure the swap is straight forward, youll prob have to fab something for the motor mounts and fab your owncross member, check the miata forums im sure its on there. WIth a standalone it should eb plug and play. itll be kinda costly but cant be too difficult i mean they swap 5.0's into miatas a 13brew cant be to difficult

those 1.8 bp motors arent no joke. They will make the same HP any rotary would.

Plus those motor have been around for a long time and in turbo models also.

the gtx AWD 323 had like 210 or 225 hp in the late 80's

They sell a Engine swap kit but I think it is for 13BT's and it also cost 4000$$$ and I rather do manual labor than pay $$$.

Here is a topic on an miata forum I'm on, that brings up some of the things you need to address, also search here in this forum, as their is a lot of info on it here too.

To hold the rew power you could use the t2 driveline, mated to the rew engine, which would probably need a custom oilpan and engine mounts and modified subframe/cross member or whatever its called.

The thread. http://clubroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2587

here you go... this is a video of my personal 13b-rew swapped miata. the trans, front and rear subframes, rear diff, suspension, brakes, power steering, wire harness, gauges, and even the windshield wiper motor are all out of a 3rd gen rx7. The amount of work was INSANE.... but I also did more than the average person would have.

Im going to be creating a large write up of the build in the next week or so... . pm me if you have any questions but easier reached at my email info@compositeenvisions.com

TX Rotary Miata

I think Mazda should have made the Rotary engine a option for this car. I think it would have sold even more units.
