13B buildup for a miata
Well, I'm seriously exploring a 13B buildup for a mazda miata. I'm looking for information on what combination of parts (housings, rotors, covers, etc) to assemble to do this I've got a few questions, and figured this is where I might have them answered....
I want to make 200hp or thereabouts.. will a 6 port cut it?
If not a 6 port, and I have to go to a bridge, do I need the TII housings correct?
What about side housings/plates? Can I reuse the 6 port ones?
The eccentric is the same for all 13B's (FC years) correct?
What front plate do I use so that I may go with a distributor?
What reccomendations for carbs?
Does anyone know the assembled weight of a 13B set up similar to this one?
I will continue to search for these answers, but these were some of the ones I couldn't find answers to.
THANKS!

here ya go
i've been playing and thinking about this exact concept, but my idea was running a turbo II motor. the rotary does bolt onto the miata transmission, but will need minor modification. my only question is, would the turbo and exhuast manifold have enough clearance in the right wheelwell and subframe?? gotta figure it out soon when i get my miata.
but to make 200 whp, you should go 4-port along w/ these thangs:
- tuned 48 IDA or 51 IDA
- Bridgeport or the biggest streetport you could do
- direct fire
- s5 internals (lighter)
- plates? you could use 12a plates, or t2 ones, or even FD if you want
- e-shafts from the FC and up had a thermostat in them. the FB's and below didn't

well from what i heard the miata tranny bolts up to the 13B (or 13BT?) not sure if that's the series 4 or 5, after you've figured out the engine your probably gonna have to do some engine mount modification and then get all the electronics for it..,
that's very simply put but pretty much what's you'd be looking at
