12a into Miata

So I can get a 93 Miata for stupid cheap. I always wanted to do a rotary Miata swap. But I am not concerned with stupid high horsepower, or the complications that come with it.

I want to put a Streetported 12a with no emissions, Weber cars, full true dual exhaust.

Simple carb'd set up. I remember seeing this swap before, but I can't find it online anywhere.

Some info would be good.

You'll probably have more luck in the first gen section.

ive never done one, but i concidered it on a friends car when his motor went out. the best way to go about it is an after market fuel management system. i actually thought about pulling all of the wiring out of a 2nd gen gxl , and i mead all of the wiring, and put a t2 motor in. all we needed is the wiring cause i had a motor for him. he ended up finding a replacement motor for 100 bux so he just went with that. im glad he did cause 3 months later it got hit by a truck, and was totaled. well any way sence it would be carbed i dont have the slightes idea. if u do that swap i would go t2 instead of 12a, it wouldnt be that much of a power increase. so dont have to really worry about stupid horse power. dont get me wrong ull feel it, but ull get use it, and wont have anywhere to go after that. if u go 13b turbo at specs ull be faster than 12a carbed. and when u get use to the power u can turn up the boost. i really think with that motor ull be at super car statis. instead of being a 14 or 15 second car itll be a 11 or 12 sec car. well u might already have the 12a motor nor the 2g's to do a swap like that anyway. well if u go 12a i would use the 1st tranny.good luck, it was fun thinking of the idea of a turbo miata, in fast fours and rotarys i saw a turbo miata pullin on 3rd gens, 300zx's, and a few other high end sports cars.

I have already done a TII swap into my 90 GXL, and I wasn't wanting to go full out on this project. More of a 'hey look at this' car. I was also thinking about doing a nasty SP on a 13B and use the 12a front cover with a similar set up. I just don't want to deal with a FI wiring nightmare. I could however do a TB injection set up with just a fuel computer and run a dizzy.

So many options!!
