im glad to hear you sold your blue car. That thing was pure sex if you do not mind me saying

I drove past a car just like this in Houston but it was orange and had puerto rico plates on it. Just sitting outside a guys house at about 9:45pm. I drove by the same place a few days later at about 1pm and it was gone. I have not seen it again

I could tell it was not stock by the suspension. It has a nice rake on it with some bigger tires in the back.

Why blowthru? What size tire will fit? You said it has a 4 link. Is it a factory 4 link? I dont know what they came with origionally.

Yeah, Factory 4 link. We're going to upgrade the factory 4 link and install a built 8.8.

I have pretty much everything needed for a blow-thru setup so I'm going to give it a try. I have someone locally who has alot of experience with blow-thru carb race cars.

I'm trying to find out if a 26X11.5X15 will fit with the stock tubs (I doubt it). I'll probably mini-tub if that's what I need to do.

The car in the pic above doesnt look to have 28's. Those look like 26's, mounted on 15's. The tires in the cars above are 29's, 30's, somewhere in that neighborhood. How far inboard do the suspension peices fit? If you are having a rear custom fit with all the brackets welded on, you might not spend much more money changing it to a drag racing 4 link setup. If they are cutting the tubs out, how much more is it just cut the whole floor out?

Dude i never stated that the white corolla had 28inch tires. Never even said what tire size it has, This one haves 28x9 in it.

Thumbs up I still have that automatic C4 if your interested?

Do you mind if I ask what type of blow thru system you are going to put together. Just wondering.

Holley?
Weber?

They all work just fine you just have to spend time on them and tune them just like any other setup.

Good Luck

Nice looking car, but why did you drive 40 hour round trip for a basically stock toyota corolla? I mean you're going to junk the engine, trans, rearend, suspension and start over why not just buy a stocker corolla closer to home?

Have you ever been to the midwest ? Old school japanese cars don't exist here.

Also, the car is already fabbed up for a rotary. It came with some performance parts that I can sell and I feel that I got a pretty decent deal on it.

I don't know, we'll see. I'm picking up the 8.8 rear end and 4.56 gears today.

The first thing we're going to work on is getting the rear end setup, mounted and minitubbed.

I'm going to run a 15X10 wheel with 26/10.5/15 tires.

Yeah, these are the same size wheels and tires I'm getting. I did find out that the largest tire I can fit with a minitub is a 26/10.5/15 .

I don't know. It would be nice if I could get this down to 1500 lbs with a full/modified interior. I haven't really got down and studied the car yet to see what I can remove. I'll be removing the stock rear end this weekend so we'll see.
