will 93 rx7 alternator work on my 88 gxl? also anyone have one?

I had my brushes "replaced" last year. Never did get the voltage i wanted even after i got the new brushes. Now the bearings are going out, I Always lost voltage at idle or at the stop light. if i sat to long i would lose the radio then shortly after the car would die if i didnt keep the rpm over 1,100rpm. not sure why.. i checked and added grounds. SO my question is first of all is i need an alt. anyone have one pushing more than 70 amps. the 93 rx7 is like $170 the 88 is $105 its not like i cant get a new one. I figured save a few bucks and see if anyone has one on here. Please let me know soon as my alt is Grinding and im not sure how much more time i have. thanks

You'll need to modify your plug on to fit the FD one, and you'll need a custom pulley. Other than that it works great.
