Who wants to make some money??
Hey all,
I recently had a pretty horrible experience with the local mechanic who's been working on my 7. Long story short I'm looking at having my clutch replaced and some odds and ends fixed up that are a little beyond my expertise.
Anyone out there looking for work that would want to do the job for some money?
Below are the things I'd like fixed, I have a quote from another local shop so PM me if you're interested with your going rate for the whole job and we can talk.
Work to be done...
1. Clutch replacement - I have an OEM replacement kit from RX7Store.
2. Odometer is not showing anything - electrical issue I'm guessing
3. My parking break light is on at all times, still functions (tested on hill), but the light just won't go away.
Open to trades...your work for my....
1. 99 Spec Wing - OEM Replica (not yet even painted/mounted)
2. Greddy FMIC (Just intercooler, no piping unfortunately)
3. CW OEM Front Bumper + Running Lights
4. COLD HARD CASH!

Also if your car is equipped with ABS then it could be an issue with the ABS system.
Lastly it could be an issue with the Parking Brake Switch. If that shorts then you will have the light on all the time.
Also to the OP, do you mean the Speedometer (MPH), Tachometer (RPM), or actual Odometer (Miles)?
If its the Speedometer or Odometer, you probably broke the speedo cable. They are reasonably easy to come by used and are relatively easy to replace.
If its the Tachometer, then you have an issue with the Crank Angle Sensor or an electrical problem and thats going to take some diagnosis.

That, or those Fluid level sensors go bad all the time.

UPDATE: Hey all! So things are starting to look dire for my clutch, anyone interested in making some money or doing a trade for your hard work? Just want to check before I go to some shop.
Thanks in advance!

BUMP!!
Update, I've setup an appointment to get the clutch replaced this weekend (Saturday) for around $450 under the table.
If anyone can do it confidently for less than that I'll entertain offers of $400 cash or less. I'm over in Issaquah so ideally you're not TOO far away.
