speaking of, we should get together on this one, trailer both our 7's down on one rig (truck + long trailer)

Then we save wear and tear miles on our cars, cut our gas monies in 1/2 and get to split the driving

Would love to, just not sure if it's gonna happen in the fd. However, we may have an 8 by then, in which case I'd feel a bit better about driving that.

Lets rent a semi car hauler so we can take like 8 cars on one truck. That would be an awesome caravan.

Where is the poll option "I am not going because gas is way too expensive and driving 18 hours each way in an RX7 would put me in the chiropractor's office for a long time"?

If you haven't heard, SS14 at Mazda HQ is probably not going to happen. They're thinking of a venue change, possibly Irwindale Toyota Speedway with an entrance fee.

Per the Sevenstock FB page, they were talking about Leguna Seca. This information is the most recent news, 18 hours old. Where did you hear Irwindale Toyota Speedway with entrance fee? I haven't heard that mentioned anywhere.

Per Bern, one of the organizers. I said it was a possibility, not a definite. I'm sure they are looking at multiple venues.

Update:

As of today there is STILL no official sevenstock dates announced. I unfortunately must pull the plug on my plans for sevenstock this year. I will still be making a socal trip at the end of september, but sitting around and waiting for airfare to go through the roof because Mazda cant get a date locked down is not acceptable. Sorry guys. I hope Mazda gets their **** together for next year. Thanks Bern and company for trying to get this together, even though it seems Mazda was less than helpful this year.

Mazda, this is not how to treat your most loyal customers.

It seems bleak at this point. I wish they would be more forthcoming with information. They are saying its going to be a little later than normal, if it happens at all. How much later? Your guess is as good as mine. But again, shame on you Mazda for not supporting your most loyal customers. The year the RX-8 goes out of production they decide to drop support for sevenstock, an event which has been going on for 13 years!

Oh wow, finally. October 29th.

Anyone still gung ho about driving down? My 7 probably wouldn't make it problem free.

Wifes birthday is next weekend so unless she develops a strong liking of RX7's in the next couple days it's not going to happen for me.

Any of you Washington folks have a caravan going on for this? I really wanted to go to this except they took their sweet time getting this going and it's kind of late in the year now. If there was a big enough caravan going I'd might make room for it but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen.
