I'm afraid my engine may have blown this morning on the FD. See the thread in the 3rd gen section.
I don't have the time, space, expertise, or inclination at the moment to do it myself so I'm looking to find someone to pull it, rebuild or have it rebuilt, then install it again. I've used Jerry and have been happy with the work, but he is a bit farther. I've also heard of a rotary shop in Olympia and Puyallup, both of those would be a lot closer to where my now, likely dead, FD is located in Yelm.
Any suggestions?

I wonder what the cost would be to have it taken to Pineapple....? Lopie is just down the road from here so that would be cheap. I'm not going to be able to drive it to him.

Get ready to see figures in the high $2000 range. Unless its a simple rebuild and no housings or anything was hurt (very unlikely). Also be prepaired to wait a lloonngg time to get your engine done. They had a waiting list the last time I asked them.
Pineapple does take their time, but if you just popped your seals and IF your internals are good your rebuild shouldn't take cost more than $800-1000, but you never know. They got mine done pretty quick, but I am local and this was my 3rd motor, and it was just seals that needed to be replaced. I laughed at my receipt because it was $95 for a flywheel, $15 in seals and $700 in labor, but motor building is something I like to leave to the pros.
Now if you are gonna have them overhaul your motor, look for some long waits because their garage space is limited, and they dont have anyone on site to do overhauls, they usually have a guy come in and help them on those. Maybe you can have corksport do the overhaul and pineapple build it, they both charge about $75/hr for labor. I think you are looking at around 2 large for this. I think the fastest I've pulled my motor is 6 hours, and thats the easy part.
Good luck man... I know what its like be in this position, I've blown 2 motors...If you bring it down here I might even be able to help you pull it, depending on when I can get my car out of my garage.

Yeah, definitely, and thanks.
Sorry to hear about your car issues. I would get a compression check
I had to replace my engine recently and I got my engine from Pineapple and had the removal/installation done at Jerry's Little Car Shop. It wasn't cheap but I've been very happy with the results.
Good luck.
BTW, how does the car idle? When I blew my engine it would run OK above 3K rpm, but idled like crap, with the boost gauge moving all over the place.
