took it to play with other sevens. I think she had a good time.

Well I cleaned up the garage to make some room for next weeks work. I fixed the GSL-SE oil pan sump. It had been flattened out when the guys at the junkyard pulled the motor. I also cleaned up the oil cooler and found some cracks on the thermostat housing that will need to be repaired before use. While I was at it I started modifying the oil pickup tube with a bell mouth bottom and am looking to modify the oilpan a bit since it will be usede for drag racing. Looking to weld a forward facing vane in there to keep the oil around the pickup during those nice hard launches.

Enjoyed sweet victory of having an exhaust ticket dismissed
I win |
test fired my money pit for the first time in yrs. great success
Changed the started in my Vert.
got my 5 mil spacers so i can now run madd camber :)
Started sanding down the lips on my wheels so i can re polish them.
Reconnected a wire to the CPU that had been cut to run a turbo timer with the stock alarm. The list of things to fix is down to 9 :o/
tried another float adjustment, but idle is still good and blipping the throttle it still bogs and tries to die. Arghhhh!!!!
finally removed the 2 lower collars on my front coilovers and installed my five mil spacers...
and now my rims arent flush with the added camber. someone find me 15 mil bolt on spacers? http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...a768937cb9.jpg http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...2786490ee9.jpg |
Looks good LOW.... is it riding on bump-stops at this point?
fixed, my shit. no more exhaust leak........ for now....
Fuel lines and tank
Tonight I crawled under her and dropped the tank, pulled the feed lines and inspected the inside. Found a screen floating around in there that PO must have tried to adapt to the tank. Removed it, plumbed new braided stainless lines blew out feed, vent and rerturn lines and re-connected all. Going back out later to test.:icon_tup:

told one of them it has till sunday to gimmie some sort of reason to keep it rotary, and then worked on the v8 one
started building my new exhaust well the rear section any ways im designing a quick swap system for the rear option #1 over the Axel to a magnaflow option #2 under the Axel to the magnaflow to see if i like it option #3 under the Axel to a straight pipe with a walmart resonated tip
all in 3 in and for the under the Axel options the 3 in pipe will be kind of smooshed so its oval shaped for clearance reasons and started milling the header flange for my custom header thats about it ill have pics when its done b4 and after |
Installed my moderized tail lights that I just finished doing and looked at her. Oh and corksport found me two good rotary housings. I'll be reciving my exhaust system from corksport at the rx7 meeting and the housings.
put a new brake master cylinder in. Now just need to bleed the brakes. She stops much better already and HOLDS pressure :) . . . .
finally drove it after installing the new lower harness. then it randomly lost spark an hour later. thinking it might be a bad ecu ground. i have the phantom 5 repeating beeps :(
Just bought a new black carpet for my FC and put some parts on craigslist.
Parting out my FD, a sad day
got my idle back to about normal. was bouncing at 500 and stalling out when I turned the wheel to fast with the brake on.

did the little bit of body work and primed the trunk lid on my SP,ground down a crack where the body kit was blended to the rear quarter on my wide body, started body work on the right door of my SP.i did pick up the new stripe kit i had made for my SP,only one little mistake,so that part is getting remade, being out of work,i have lots of time to work on both cars.i will post some pics tomorrow.
I walked into my garage to get a 7up and noticed..oh i have TII that i havent touched in 2 years because it hasnt ran in awhile. Then I opened the door and sat in the driver seat, and now I am sad because I want it running..like NOW.
still trying to figure out how to put the damn tow hook on the front.
dug out some stock intake manifolds I had laying around, and cleaned and stripped one, the did the "Naked Nikki" thing and pulled all the emission crap and unnecessary crap off it. Then was going to connect the exhaust and mount everything up, but the heat exchangers/exhaust manifolds I have are too long! Apparently the pre-85 are different, or the one on my 84 wasn't an from an 84. Either way, my "Good feeling" about all the progress I was making kinda fizzled.
