Wet Vacc'ed

Today I discoverd about an inch of water in my spare tire area, first time I've looked at it. So, I pulled the straps off, removed the underlayment, thn took out the spare and vacc'ed out the water.:( Checked the two "drain tubes at the bottom of the hatch, but they are attached and clear. No tellin how long the water has been in there. Have to keep my eye on the seals now, but they look good.

jkstill 01-13-10 11:38 PM

I use to dig chevy luvs (I wanted to put a rotary in mine rather than a V8) but the repus are even cooler little trucks. but I'd never do what I was going to do to my chevy luv. I was gonna drop the piss out of it and drag it everywhere. laying sparks. I couldn't do that to a REPU though. If I ever come accoss another free chevy luv I'll still drag it around.

installer67 01-14-10 08:47 AM

I'll tell ya what I'm about to do

I don't get at least a puff of smoke outta this bitch today I'm gonna go postal!:banghead::cursing:

mort2002 01-14-10 09:16 PM

my Rx7 has been sitting under a car cover for the past 3 months or so since the last track day. no time to mess with it and dont have the rest of my stuff to put my hx40 on yet...

But on a side note i have been driving my evo ha ha ha

installer67 01-14-10 09:31 PM

She runs!!!!!!!!!

Today I recharged my battery, adjusted my idle and mixture screws and VIOLA!! She fired! What a sweet sound after a year of waiting!:101384_l::jump::smiley309:jump:

Jdrift 01-14-10 09:50 PM

I finally got my 88 gxl running. Had a bad ignitor in the trailing coil as well as the ignition timing being WAY out. ( Bought this car from a friend of mine) She smokes like hell though. So the next step is find out if the smoke is just from exsessive oil in the exhaust due to the hours of cranking to get this damn thing to run, or if there is another issue. Baby steps, my friend baby steps. Oh key note. the compression is at 90 psi give or take one or two psi.

the Evo is 4 door and AWD, much better in winter. not only that but i just got my license back from a slight suspension. the rx7 is just trouble and i dont have full coverage or my sr22 on it, so it aint going no where. lol
shit happens right lol

although when the rx7 does get attention i think the hx40 is really gonna wake it up, tweak and i are gonna do some h20 injection and go for 20 psi, hope it holds if not, guess ill go the smart route and ls1 it lol.

My R wagon is AWD turbo as well, great for winter, less noticeable when I'm driving it than when I'm driving my FD. Even other modded Volvos don't spot me lol I'm tryin to change jobs and then use my money for a 3" exhaust dual exits, 18t turbo, and boost controller for the wagon. 18 psi and 350+hp/375+tq (crank). It's currently using a 16t and 15 psi with my flash. ~285hp/293tq. Ratings are about 15hp extra per psi increase on a 16t. realistically the whp will probably be in the low-mid 200's but it will be quick none-the-less. 13 second Volvo wagon is all I want for my DD

ya i told myself i wasnt going to mod the evo, but when i got it, it already had exhaust, O2 housing, down pipe, 10.5 hot side, walbro fuel pump, perrin stealth FMIC, apexi intake, so i went out and bought a AEM tru boost, and im thinking i might splurge and get cams, cause they are cheap, and if i do that and take it down to english racing for a tune, it should be around 360-380 AWHP, not bad for just a few mods.. lol

installer67 01-15-10 07:00 PM

Today I ..

mounted my stock coil over my two remaining high output coils for my DLIDFIS setup.(some moron *me* dropped a crecent wrench and broke off both posts on a brand new coil) Attached my temp sensor with the "correct" wire. Re-installed my hood and adjusted it, put on new headlights and bled my clutch.

installer67 01-15-10 07:07 PM

No seat time yet....

Oh wow! Is that a semi Periferial with a bridgey? Major Brapage dude!!!
Whats your plan for an intake, and what sort of induction are you going to use?

well when I replaced the turbo, I removed the ACV and air pump and blocked it off. I kept the hose for the sillencer intact and I guess it was just hanging to close to the turbo. I caught it fast enough. I recognized the sparks flying out the back.

anyways I installed a fire extinguisher today. so I'll be prepared if it ever happens again. and I won't have to spray sticky soda all over the engine bay.

Gregory Casimir 01-16-10 02:00 AM

started to treat the rust on mine this afternoon. Come to find out that the lower driver side fender has a larger rust whole then i anticipated which happens to be on the chassis of the car. looks like i need professional metal work?

installer67 01-16-10 02:14 AM

Damn!

So Jesus, you may need a pilots liscence to fly this baby before your done!:icon_tup:

ArmyOfOne 01-16-10 12:47 PM

Well the plan for this semi p-port bridge is to give it lots and lots of nitrous and do it the old school way. It gets its fuel from a Holley carb sponsored baby bottle. It is going to be one quick 83FBLE. hey that would make for a really cool lisence plate!!

Choked on fumes

Today I set my idle multiple times, blew alot of fumes and made my wife and daughter wanna puke from the exhaust/gas smell. Made a new coil wire, bled the brakes, spewed off most of the colorful adjectives I know, then parked it back under the carport and seriously contemplated the tequila in the freezer.

The Spyder 01-17-10 07:17 PM

there still not done. the waist gate takes maybe 2 hours if you take your time. FMIC is a bit more work, but shouldn't take 4 weeks.

1BADSP 01-19-10 01:29 AM

sent 2 7's to the scrap yard today, hopefully the third one tomorrow.

Discokid 01-19-10 01:45 AM

Installed new throttle cable, optima red top, and relocated it

Squeeb 01-19-10 03:40 AM

I finished my coat of swirl remover, then thought it was too nice out to be in the garage. Saw a chick that got arrested (thinking for theft) and took off from the cop when he wasn't paying attention - she had one hand cuff on the other was just dangling as she is running, she ran right behind my car as I was pulling by, cop caught up and got her within 40 ft though.

ehime 01-19-10 11:36 PM

Pushed it out of my container,
looked at it for twenty something minutes,
pushed it back in.

Cried.

jinxed4dub 01-20-10 02:10 AM

I love looking at my car/s (yes even my 12 tone FB). I do it on a daily basis, and I daily drive it too. but I love to stand out side and just look at them.
