trying to find a turbo II, gawd it's hard

so a couple months ago it seemed like this board/CL was crawling with nice turbo II's, now that i actually have the $ to buy 1 my buddy was supposed to sell me his s5, decently built and randomly stopped taking my phone calls, and i swing by his house, no there, but his t2 still there. seems like any nice "turbo II's" are hard to come by.

especially around here and i'm willin to go to cali, so if anyone knows of people selling turbo II's, hopefully rebuilt/modified please please please let me know, i have about 7,000 or less.

if so that's the one i was trying to buy, it just needed the tps adjusted, ran like a dream when i drove it, if not then i don't know what one your talking about.

it's just so damn hard finding a s5 t2 on the west coast that is semi modified/modified.

Down Highway 99 in Everett/Lynwood there are 3 Turbo II's for sale at West Coast Auto Sales..... That's right, three of them, well two are up for sale, the other is kinda beat up and has an oil leak so they aren't selling it. But there are 2 others. One white TII stock with about 135k miles on it for $5000 and a black TII with some mods for $7000. The black one is really clean and if I had the cash right now it would be my car. They've been for sale for a while, but people in my area are too poor for a car like that so it hasn't sold. They have more sports cars there than most dealerships. They actually have 2 FD's, one being fixed, the other being sold. I saw a modded GSX, an MR2 turbo, a few Mustang GT's, vettes and 300ZX's and so on when I drove by there today on my way to school.

Whats funny is that when you buy a car, mods make it worth more, but when you have to get insurance from a vehicle mods usually don't add anything or they actually make it worth less...

mine is for sale, however not exactly what you're looking for. not S5, not authentic TII, and not perfect body (average 18 year old dent/scratches).

he's obsessing over some bmw blue sliver thing. apparently its an s4 converted to s5 except engine. it gets better. . . apparently the engine is a 13b re (2 rotor cosmo engine) with a gt 45 turbo on it, hardly any miles if any on the rebuild an a custom injectors and fuel rail. apparently it is suppose to put out 700hp and will beat any v8 on the road and is made to be a daily driver. ok. . . go!

ur options need to open up a lil more. start from scratch like everyone else and put the rest of the money into the car. that way u'll know that the parts are fresh and not ****.

not really, more like gives up a big headache. if a u buy comes with coilovers and they're blown or just a peice of **** u gotta replace em. if the cars been drifted then the ****** diff is gonna prob need a rebuild. honestly i also give more props to someone who takes a slower car and makes it faster in all aspects. its like buyin a corvette vs getting some beat to **** car and making it faster than the corvette for less money.

I agree with MWMburton. Buy the 10thAE for $1000 and have a motor built for it. I think an already modded car is gonna yield more issues than a bone stock car. How do you know it was modded correctly (or smartly) just by seeing receipts and all the parts? Just buy a bone stock car and put your own money into it to make it faster, rather than spending the same amount of money to make the car run right from being beat on.... Ultimately it's your choice, but you kinda did ask for our opinions/help....

yea well when it's a loan and the max i have is 7500 and that's all i have to play with then yes i could get a shell, get a built motor, and then there's the majority of the $, and im in debt and not able to do much to the car until i have the loan payed off, vs. buyin a car that was moddly "properly" its hard to tell, but i don't know.

Well if you're worried about $$$ then get something reliable and save money you would normally have to spend on maintenance/troubleshooting/repairs until you have enough to do what YOU want to the car. IMO it's always better to mod a car yourself with YOUR style and the parts YOU would want being installed by the people YOU trust to do the work.
