Exclamation Thizz Fizzed

I just got a call from Thizz. He's broken down in Hayward, Ca. with a "wobbly rear tire". He can see something "shiny", like a wheel bearing near the hub.

I told him to take it to a local shop rather than trying to diagnose it long distance.

It just goes to prove the theory that a car will break down just when it's most inconvenient (and usually several hundred miles away from home).

Anyone know a good RX7 mechanic in Hayward?

A standard mechanic will do just fine.

If it's a wheel bearing, you can have it advices almost anywhere.

It should be a rather cheap fix, as FC's use a standard cup/cone type wheel bearing.

Was there excessive grinding?

Was the wheel Extremely hot when he pulled over?

Has the wheel ceased (sp?)

if it's just wobble, i'd look at the ball joints on the uprights.

If my memory serves me correct Thizz has a welded diff. Could be his axles gave out. DTS failure? alot of different things could be wrong. He may need someone a little more familiar with this type of setup than your average mom and pop tranny shop.

He may be driving his 626, I thought his 7 was out of commission for awhile.
