Theft: Reward for information on my 1993 R1

On 4/24 Saturday night at 12:40 PM someone disabled my shops camera system and proceeded to strip my 1993 Black R1 of any valuable parts. Despite the vehicle being in plain line of sight of the neighboring apartment complex and the shear amount of parts they took, which must have taken hours, no one called the police. The parts list is below. Please keep your eyes out, ask friends, check craigslist, anything so I can get these parts back. I spent over 4 years collecting parts and my insurance is only covering $5000 in aftermarket parts. The total taken is well over $15k.

The thieves blocked my cameras, punched the door lock in, and left the car sitting stripped on wood blocks. It is almost like someone had a shopping list, because silly things were broken or left that any rx7 owner would know how to remove without damage. (They took a short throw shifter, but not the insert to make it work? Took the Racing Beat muffler, but not the rest of the Racing Beat pipe that connects to the mid pipe? Cut the radiator hoses, but unbolted the intakes? Left most the hardware/broken plastics.) So please watch out for someone or anyone with the following parts and please call me!!!

Pettit Racing 99 spec plateless front bumper
99 spec OEM Combo lights
99 spec OEM lip
Greddy SMIC
Koyo N-Flow radiator + aftermarket inline water temp sensor
99 spec Black fans
Aluminum AST
Interstate battery, tray, and hold down
99 spec Y pipe (top section only, jerks)
HKS Twin Power
R1 Red OEM strut tower brace
Apexi Power FC and Commander
Infinity 6 1/2 component door speakers
Infinity 5x7 composite rear speakers
Alpine 9857 radio
Mazdaspeed Short throw shifter and rubber surround
OEM Shifter surround/panel
OEM Gauge cluster (90k)
OEM steering column surround
99 spec Nardi steering wheel and air bag
Black door panels with all switches/ect
Black rear divider
Black hatch cover
Black non bose carpet
99 spec tail lights
99 spec OEM spoiler
Base model cloth seats (9.5/10 condition)
M2 17x8.5 and 17x9.5 with yoko Advans 70% tread left, black 5 spoke
Racing Beat dual tip muffler

I am offering a $1000 cash reward for any verifiable tips that lead to the capture of these criminals. I literally do not know what I am going to do. This may very well be the end of me and rx7's.

Thank you.
Marc

Holy hell Marc... that's terrible.

This is ridiculous. They had to have had some prior knowledge about it at least to know what was set up and such...

Good luck on getting things back.

Whoever did that deserves some a serious *** whooping. Sorry to see that happen to you Marc. I'll keep my eyes out on CL and Ebay since I'm already on there at work anyways. Hopefully something turns up soon.

Really sorry to hear about this Marc. Makes me sad and PO at that same time. Good luck in catching the idiots.

Curious about the insurance coverage. Was that from your car insurance or the insurance from the shop?

Thanks guys,
I really do not know what to say. This whole situation just sucks. I spent 4 years gathering parts and I just can not believe the timing. I have 800 things to do between closing the shop, starting my new contract work, cleaning up our property/home shop, and at this point, I just need a break. I think I have had to repeat the same story 60 times and I just don't even want to talk about it anymore. I hope they find something, anything. Ofcourse I am being looked at by my insurance SIU/fraud team now. It does not help that I just this year put full coverage on it and my car was the only one outside. What I do not get is it sat out there all the time and someone had to be watching me/the shop.
I will be so happy when this is all over .

My thought is to keep it off the forums so that the idiots aren't aware of how many people are looking for them and as a result think the heat has died down. Then they'll feel more secure in posting on Craigslist and you can catch the MFers sooner. But it's hard to get the word out without using the forum... catch 22, huh?

Regardless, I'm sorry your stuff got jacked.
