Thanks to Woundup7 (REW FB)

Just wanted to share some new pictures of my setup. I have been building this for a couple years now. It has been quite a bumpy road. One problem after another.

A lot of my problems originated from the microtech wiring(only part of the build that I did not do). I decided to bag that microtech and go with a PFC. In addition to that I made a ton of changes. Here are a few: Relocated battery to bin(optima red top), 2nd gen fuse panel, FMIC, New location for the FMOC, Oil drain in front cover, Banzai motor mounts, remounted fuel pump, new pillar pod, new boost gauge, new wideband, new IC pipes, new coils, new map sensor, accel 8.8 mm spark plug wires, FD ignitor, all new power to the fuel pump w/ 10ga wire and seperate relay, There are still quite a few loose ends that need to be wrapped up. But all the big stuff is done.

Chris has helped a tremendous amount in the last few weeks. He wired up the majority of the car for me. His work is flawless and there are no problems like before. If anyone needs a PFC install you might want to ask him. Not sure if he will do it for you though

Here are some pictures.

BEFORE: this picture makes my head hurt.

"Dont you want your battery on the passenger side...

Cool car man!"

You would be correct sir. Sadly I have an autopower roll cage installed. The bar blocks the passenger side. I cannot even open the door. My solution was to remove the door from the hinges so that I did not lose storage. Good eye though.

"that turbo looks so much bigger on the motor than it does in the frst photo! And wow what a mess Chris had to fix for you!! I can't wait to see this car in person Dave!"

The turbo is pretty good sized. Not sure if I will ever push more than 16psi on it though. I think that will be more than plenty in a 2300lb car. It was a mess. I started removing the microtech before Chris got there. We even took it one step further by going through the entire cars wiring and eliminating the things that were not needed.

"Awesome! Is it going to be at the next taco7 meet? Can't wait to check it out."

I need to get the exhaust done and get some seats. Unless something major happens it should be there. Steve Kan is coming in 2 weeks, I still need to break the motor in. Luckily I have about 200 miles on it already.

"o my god i cant wait to see this car in action! did you pm eric about the hood he said he would go lower than 100"

No never did. Kind of low on the priority list. Plus I don't remember what his forul name. Really only want to spend 50.

"Looks awesome. "

Thanks!

Engine walk around:

Both cars took me in excess of 5 months to find. I am very picky. They are not perfect but do get the job done. Took me around 7 months of checking daily to find the blue one.

The Blue SE is staying stock. Not 100% sure if I am going to keep it though. Great car but I hardly drive it (Izzy's & Del Taco). Funny thing is that it gets cleaner every month. I make it a habit to clean the car 2-3 times a month. Since I only drive it a couple times a month I just keep digging deeper and deeper. Someday it will be perfect. I need to do under the hood next.

The brown one has a huge list of things that need to be done. The body has ZERO rust(Ziebart) and the paint is in alright condition, just needs attention. It will progress slowly.

Believe it or not it is pretty easy. Best way to get to it is from under the car. It is only held on by 4 allen bolts. I actually just replaced it with a new 40mm HKS WG, took about 15 mins to change out.

Thanks to everyone else. Oh, and bmwgirl, thanks for letting me steal your hubby for a few days.

It was a ton of fun, Dave's a great host, lots of good beer and pizza. Though I am not to sure about his music selection. LOL

The whole idea behind his build and mine for that matter is to make it Mazda friendly. Using the FC coils, FC main fuse block, FC main relay, FC harness, FD ignitor, map, and tps. All these components work well and are easy to find and cheap. Speaking of cheap his power fc brand new with commander was 690 plus shipping. Truly plug and play.

I'm just a little worried that turbo isn't big enough. If you have a S-5 T2 car and you want cheap standalone, let me know.
