Steve Kan Tuning Session **Pictures**
For all those that have pictures please post them. I was a little too busy lifting weights in the corner to take any.
All in all the day was pretty succesful. For the most part the cars came to the dyno ready. I appreciate that. Thanks to everyone that made this event happen.
Car Summary:
#1 Cosmo. Leo, car looks like it rips. I want a ride in that thing someday. Your torque curve was SO flat. Go eat some vettes and vipers now.
#2 Seth W. Sorry to hear about the car. We can fit you in next time. What exactly went wrong? I heard you drove it all the way up like that. How did you do getting home?
#3 Poorboy. All I have to say is wow. That is one nice car you got there. Canadian's sure do know how to build them. Were you still having problems with the actuator at the end of the day? Oh and what kind of coolant are you using? That stuff was sticky.
#4 Jack. I hope that when the bearing spun you did not fry your e-shaft too. I think that everyone learned a VERY valuable lesson that day, myself included. I typically run 10w40. I think that everyone at the dyno will be running 20w50 from now on. I would be interested in seeing that article you were telling me about.
#5 Rick, everytime I see your car it leaves me speachless. One of the best examples of a stock 3rd gen I have ever seen. Keep up the good work.
#6 Daniels, crazy ride. I have never seen a 3rd gen with as many mods as yours has. Get some ignition mods on that bad boy and we will see what she can really do.
After hours party:
After we finished some of the guys came out to my place and ate a little cow. Chris and Grae, I think that you two are going to need to build a fire pit now.
Thanks:
First off I want to thank Kevin with Jet City. Not only did he provide us with a killer deal on the dyno but he was also cool as hell. He worked his *** off just to make sure that we were happy. I think that at one point I even saw him changing spark plugs. I also want to thank the people getting tuned. For the most part everyone was ready to go. You don't know how much easier that made my job. The spectators were great as well, you guys/gals made the party for sure. Lastly I want to thank Steve. Your personality fits very well in the NW.
Chris, Michelle, Grae, Jenny & Tim. Thanks for hooking up the BBQ last night and the lunch yesterday. I think that we all ate like royalty. Especially the dog.

From what my brother told me, steve thought it was a side seal or something? If thats the case it's the second bad motor from the factory but we will (hopefully not me) check it out, I still got to finish mine in it's current state before this track day down in medford. After that I think I'd going to sell off the sc and go with a turbo setup.

I'd like to thank all the rotorheads in the Seattle area. You are a really cool and fun bunch. You made my short visit a nice time.
If anyone of you are in the Boise area, please reach out and I'll make sure you have a good time.
Dave, anytime you want a ride, you got one. We have a ton of places around to do a 3rd gear redline pull.
BTW, what was the rwhp pull by the fully modded FD?

I give this dyno day TWO thumbs up. M and I had great time, thanks to Z beater, Steve and Kevin the dyno guy. It was a long day, but a total blast. Thanks to everyone else for hanging out all day and shooting the ****.
P.S. M and I did a few pulls on the way home on 509, Volvo was experiencing major detonation. Threw away the Brazilian made bosch plugs, threw in new NGK and gapped at 25", full boost at 18 psi and no detonation, Crazy stuff. I think Grae and I need to have a fire pit tech day, at each of our house's, Thanks everyone.
