If he is that messed up either he wasn't wearing a seat belt or the car is totalled...

Well that sucks!
When was the last time you checked the air pressure in the tires?

I'd seriously doubt that a FD can hit anything and only need a fender. It'll need much more work than that to be nice again.

But what do I know?

Everyone says that at first, then they look at the skids, they look at the car, where it happened, and all they can think is that I hit those staples or what ever, lost pressure in that tire, hit the downgrade, beed poped off the tire, went into the ditch, other two poped, and came out like that with 4 flat tires. The POP I heard was the tires comming off the bead.

I had a 30 year trained accident scene reconstruction guy come out, a good friends of mine dad, and look at everything. He was just as confused, took 2 hours just to figure out what could have happened.

Not saying you're lying but that story broke the gauge of my credibility-meter. Three catastrophic, uninduced blow-outs is so absurdly unlikely, particularly at the speed limit, that you'd have to be the luckiest guy in the history of the automotive world to witness it first-hand. If that happend to me, I'd come up with a plausible lie so people didn't think I thought they were so gullible as to believe that freakish-truth.

If you go back and read, you will see that the tires came off the bead, one of them from the downgrade, the other 2 from impact. I though they were blow outs until I inspected the car.

But, that's even more unlikely!

When I bought my BBS rims for my FC, two of the wheels had the tires off the bead. the guy must have spun out his 300zx into a curb because one rim was really wasted and the other just had the tire off the bead.

By the way, I mean seriously, what's to gain from lying to a forum about what happened in an accident? I think it could happen, strange things happen when a sports car hits a ditch.
