BTW, the car is Black Fd w/ supra wing. Can't make out the wheel cuz I was passing pretty fast.

It isn't black but at night it probably looked black it is a chameleon color shifting paint.

 

If you look at it quickly from some angles, it can look black instead of colored.

My best guess is that it is a DuPont dark jade or perfect jade colorshift color. Most the time it looks a bright dark green, but at shallow sun angles or in some street-lamp lights it looks quite purple. The shop folk call it greenurple, but Chameleon color sounds better to me.

The license plate gets interpretted different ways by different people, a couple which I did not anticipate. Maybe it is like modern art, you see whatever you want in it.

The top level expected pun is that it is just the prescription (Rx) for the doctor (Dr), but who would know my initials are DR ?
A strangely large number of folk have tried to interpret why I say four door (4dr) on the license plate for an Rx-7, and I have to show them the hood and the hatch and the two doors and see if they think that is too dumb.
