Spotted: FD in Everett

Friday night around 7pm I was walking from a reception at the Holiday in on Pacific Ave over to a store on Everett Ave, spotted a black or MB FD on Pine heading north. Couldn't really tell cuz it was REALLY dark out. Looked/sounded stock. Anyone here? I don't see FD's up here often

Possibility it was me. I think that was an evening I went to Lowes on Pacific. Mine is a black 93 but I dont think it sounds stock.

I drive the 7 on non-rainy days only. I commute from Everett to Redmond. I almost always put a "saw you" post up when I see other fds which is not often. I have only seen 1 fd in the last 4 months. Im surprised I havent seen you around the area.

Yea it was a couple blocks east of Lowe's on a side street. I dunno it was very loud at all.... But it was practically idleing down the street.

I used to have mine down in Redmon/Kirkland all the time cuz that's where I get all my parts and work done... Haven't driven it for sometime now though... Sucks to have an unlicensed FD. I was on foot lol

Does your 7 run? Doesnt cost much to license a 13 year old car, not like it used to. When the car was new, I would guess the tabs were $400 - $500 each year.

Where do you get your parts and service in Redmond / Kirkland area. I do all my own work and buy my OEM parts from Ray Crowe. Really dont trust anyone else to work on my fd.

Get that sucker on the road while we still have a few nice days. They love this cold crisp weather.

It's not licensed cuz it doesn't pass emissions... It read LITERALLY 1000 times higher for Hydrocarbons than is allowed on our cars lol At that time I had no precat or airpump. I NOW have no emissions components and I don't wanna put em back on so I'm just waiting to get my new engine. I have a bad coolant seal and it makes it a hassle to drive the car. MONEY has never been the issue... Except for when I quit my job and used my $10k engine fund to pay my bills. For right now it's got comprehensive coverage cuz I don't drive it. Occasionally I get a trip permit for special events, but I don't wanna get hit or something to happen my insurance won't cover so I try not to drive it. No that I don't trust my driving, I don't trust the OTHER people on the road!!!

I have all my work done by Stage Performance in Kirkland. They are in behind the Suby dealer on 116th. One of the owners has an FD and they are very good with my car. They basically do everything and will soon have a dyno and offer tuning services. very reasonable prices for parts as well. I am about to take them an IS300 with a T04E turbo that my buddy has... Drove it yesterday and it's quick! But needs more fuel......

New engine - kool. What are you getting? Stock 13B REW? porting? ceramic coating? special seals?

I spent all last winter from about November thru May on my blown engine and a lot of extras including suspension and custom made carbon fiber components I fabricated..

Would be nice to have a dyno nearby to do tuning; its a pain doing it on the road. On sunny days Ive been doing 2 datalog runs, to work and then coming home. Gives me 2 datasets to work thru the adjustments each day. Third gear wide open is the problem in the city with so much traffic and too many cops.

Good luck on your car!

Carb Connection in Kirkland or Intec in Kent may be able to facilitate a DYNO.... Not sure about Carb Conn but Intec allows you to rent their dyno to tune your own car....

I am pretty much going all out with the new motor. Race port, ceramic coated rotors, 3mm seals, extra dowels for the housings, and I'll be using ALL brand new parts! I will also be doing my single turbo conversionat the same time... I think I'll use a Precision Turbo but not sure which one yet... I still have a lot of specific to work out. Just kind of working on the basics for right now and reading up on al the local engine builders to try and pick one... I may even go with Gotham..? Not sure though. Too much reading to do...
