Does anyone know when SRP is going to open up again, i know it should be sometime soon right? And does anyone know if they are looking to hire any partime/weekend workers? Right now im living in texas with my mom, but in a month i am moving to airway heights and i was wondering if they were going to have any jobs up to grab. Nothing special, just something fun to keep me busy on the weekend. Well any information anyone has is greatly appericated.

 

AFAIK SRP was purchased by the city of Spokane a few weeks/month or so ago.

I have not been able to find any plans on when/if they are going to open it for racing, or even if it will just be demolished have cheapss homes built on it.

Driving by a week or so ago, I dont even think I'd take anything but my 4x4 truck out there, not looking too pretty

 

Ya my dad told me that the City bought it. I was hoping they would fix it up and continue there operations there, because i really hate having to drive out to state line to do anything. But i guess ill keep my ears open then and hopefully it opens back up.

 

The city didn't buy it, it was the county. Last I heard, the auction was going to be protested because of some shady dealings at the final round. If all goes the way it's looking the county will ultimately end up with it. Then there will be a long period of planning. I don't expect anything this year, but we might get lucky. I think at best it'll be early next season.

my 2 cents
