I would prefer something closer to spokane, and preferably not the weekend of the 19th or 26th.

Back to the original idea of several weeks ago. The BBQ will be at the park in post falls on the south side of the river on Spokane St. I'm going to try and get the covered area on the west side of the parking lot with the BBQ Pits. If I do get the spot BBQ will start at 1pm Saturday June 2nd. If not will wing it. Need to start Letting others know about the BBQ so talk to your friends and family get the cars shined up and decide what you might bring to the BBQ. I'll Start the List With:

Allen & Melody Potato Salad and soda
nicdchris Said he would bring some soda awhile back if he can make it

Anyone else?

I may make an apperince, so I can meet everyone, but not sure if I will participate with food.

We have a strong mazda group, but I am the only rx guy, is this an open mazda event or just an rotory event?

Leavenworth is this saturday!! We are meeting in the airway hieghts walmart/starbucks parking lot around 630-700am. And cruising over via highway 2!

Feel free to pm me for details or phone#

Well from the responce were getting, things aren't looking good. Come on guys it been what, 3 or 4 years sence we've done anything together, sure would be nice seeing everyone again and meeting the new people. What else can we do to make this work? Should be Just join Mazdas North West, I know there aren't meny of us out there. What do all of you think? Deena and Dave would really like your input too if you would like to give it.

Well It's Post Falls Days on June 2nd so all of the parks are full so that shoots down that Idea. Plus they want $200.00 to use a Gazebo for the day when there is nothing going on in the park. Well im frustrated how about you guys.

Yeah, $200 just for a place to cook some hotdogs is pretty unreasonable. We could always "just take over" some half-abandoned parking lot...

I think we should make this for a later date Allan...but make it maybe around the end of June, so everyone can have tons of notice, then get together and put our heads together before hand, as far as contacting some of the old peoples, and new of course. Just seems everyone is either too busy or wants to just pop in. A place is no problem, we can probably do it at our house again. Maybe pop by and we can compare and do some sorta something (planning). Maybe joining another group might be a good option.

if you are looking for a gazeebo...

I believe Mission Park in Spokane has one. The park is also behind a Safeways, which is kind of nice for the forgotten items. INWR has met there before.

Ritzville has a nice park and it could make it easier for our central washington brethren to make it.

There are lots of rotary cars in the area that most dont know about and there are those who do. Years ago we had something pretty good going. The old bbq's we use to have in town here puts things like levenworth to shame.
Deena and Dave were the heart of the club in the area and did things that most took for granted and gave no appreciation for there efforts. I remember especially all the hard work and planning they did to get our club to apple blossom at wanatchee one year with our own hotel and personal mobile dyno and we all had a blast participating in the parade.
I have a buddy with a mobile dyno for rent so thats always a option later down the road if we ever could all get together again and make something worth while.
A few ideas i have is things like the accelerator car show. We can all enter and get together and have a blast at silverwood.
Or how about meeting at a lake resort like banks or hunters and camp in tents or have a evening bbq.
Or another idea would be all driving to a 7 stock or dgrr some time.

These are just some ideas im throwing out there. I am outgrowing the whole car thing slowly now that a house kids and wife all are priority and a two seater car with 500hp is basically pointless. But I still enjoy the car from time to time and I miss the big bbq's back in the day.
I agree with Code Blue 2 that we set a date and time at a reasonable place like maybe edgecliff park that has a patio and a long parking strip and lots of things to do for the little ones if needed.

I think that we should start small and get everyone in town back together and work from there and see where it goes. Its hard to expect people to travel for a first meet and not know if more than 3 cars will show up.
Edgecliff is a decent park. Its off of park rd south of appleway blvd and its FREE

Wow some enthusiasm, I love it! Thanks all of you, I was getting really
discouraged. Some great ideas floating around here. How dose the weekend of June 23 sound to everyone, the only reason I say that weekend is because Melody and I start our vacation the next weekend and we aren't sure if we we'll be in town or lost in the Montana mountains or somewhere else away form cell phones. With that said if it works out that the 30th is a better weekend for everyone we will be there rain or shine. I'm at work and have to leave for awhile BRB.

I am liking the 23rd (saturday) or even the 24th (sunday). I also have a few ideas, but need to confirm before I let them out into the wild.
