Michelle and I are thinking about fielding a team, We could handle the auto x duties, need a serious drift superstar, hint EARL or LLYOD, and a turboed first gen for the quarter, DAVE. Anyone interested.

If my car is done I might consider coming out for the Auto X or drag (hahaha, might be a little slow). I think Josh's LSX would be best suited for the drag. What would be the driver cost?

my car is actually best suited for autox- hooking up is an issue in drag (i'm on coilovers with autox alignment), and the event will not be 1/4 mile . more like 1/8th or less. i'll still participate, but chances are i'd get beat by slower cars with better hook.
i kill in autox, against street tired cars anyway. took 8th overall in the last porsche club autox, with only R compounds ahead of me (.5 seconds behind a C5 vette on hoosiers ) i'm getting pretty curious how it would do with slicks... too esspensive tho.

BTW theres an autox aug 10th and aug 17th at PIR! i never see 7's there.. good time to show up and practice

haha....I haven't driven my car in 2 months. I'm almost scared I don't know to drive anymore. But I don't think I'll make it to the 10th, will still be breaking the car in. Maybe the 17th, but thats iffy too. I need to research on breakins for new engines.

Smackdown sign up sheet format

not sure if your fielding a team or not but here is the format for a sign up sheet.

Smackdown sign up sheet format, I used Excel, but it could be any spreadsheet or even WP

I had a request yesterday, which I had completely spaced to have a standard format for team sign up sheets, so here goes.
The fees are the total collected by entrant for themselves and who ever they bring along as friends/spectators (for meals)

The Asterisk denotes the member is one of your designated points earners for that event, Y/N is obvious

Team Name

Name........ Car Type........AX Class....Drag...Drift...AutoX...# of Meals...Fee
Angelina J... . Hummer...... .SS .............Y *....N.......Y......... 1..............$40.00
BB Thorton... Yugo.......... .Emod .........N.......Y*.....N......... .5.............$40.00
Mario Andretti Spectator............ ..... .N.......N......N........ ..1.......... ...$5.00
Jackie Stewart Ferrari 360... H Stock.. .Y*.....Y*.....Y*...... 1 ......... ...$55.00
Bill Clinton.......Hyundai XL... .SS......... .Y........N......Y*..... ..3.......... .$55.00

Current teams signed up

TSDNW
Dirty Drifters
Street Sweepers
Carfreeks
PRE Racing
NW Nissans
NWAA
Team Hyundai/Kia

GOOD MORNING!! today's the day we find out who the racers REALLY ARE!!
We need your team info today, this does not mean that more folks cant show up, and they MAY get a chance to run, but we need all PAID members info today.

Once you send this in it will be a commitment to at least those people. we plan on having run groups assigned to all these members by Monday, so when you show up Friday you should already know when and where your running (subject to change based on race day needs) In hopes we can maximize everyone's runs, AND FUN.

I truly believe that in the years to come this will become the event everyone plans for all year, the MUST DO in the PNW for all car nuts everywhere.

ALSO the local food bank need our help, at the request of Hampton mills and the Packwood area food bank we will have a donation bucket at the registration booth, IT IS REQUESTED THAT ALL Participants bring a can of food or non-perishable food item like a box of Mac-n-Cheese or a can of beans, whatever you have, to help this cause, if you cant do that, or forget, drop a dollar in the donation box, this will go a LONG way to helping the local community, and increase the odds that we will be welcomed back

Friday nights open practice will require all cars to pass tech inspection (covers all weekend) and will be paid by the run, bring dollar bills!! we will have 2 courses set up a short drift course which will be 2-3 sweepers, and 2-3 low speed pivot type maneuvers. The AX course will be the standard NWAA practice course which runs about 40 seconds. Times will not be recorded, only verbal, and we will need volunteers for course work for both, so come prepared to help out. if we don't have course workers we cant run.
