So There I Was
So I go to move my vert after its been siting outside for 2 days. I go to unlock the drivers side door, and no turn. So I go to the passenger side, it turns, but the door handle doesnt open the door. The only thing that is gonna work in my favor is that the passenger window is open a little. I might be able to get a clothes hanger in there and pull the inside handle.
So, when Finaly get entry to the car, anyone know how I might go about fixing this?
Thanks
Shawn

Hooray For Boobies!!!
Crawl through the rear hatch, its fun.
Otherwise the handles like to break on the inside where they connect to the rod.
The door lock, try some lube and free it up.
Good Luck,
Joe

its a VERT! climbing in the hatch aint happening...... gosh never heard of both doors failing at once! that sux......
well a common problem on 2nd gen rx-7 is the door handles fail, metal piece breaks inside and lifting the handle wont move the opener anymore....
havnt had a key hole fail before( unless i use the wrong key....), but im sure its very posible
lol reminds me the time it was frozen out side and both my door locks were frozen and i was allready running late for skool,

eep that sucks, thats what happened to me but luckily it was only my driver's side...
I was changing out the handle since it didn't work, and i installed the linkages wrong, and when i rolled up the window it hit some linkage and jammed the door shut. i had to take off the door panel (while the door was shut) and then jimmy the linkage out from being jammed and then finally open the door... it was a pain, and if ya look at my driver's side panel the vent is broken
no idea what you will be able to do with both of them being busted...
the clothes hangar method seems to be the best idea so far
good luck

Well, got it open by getting the drivers side door unlocked with a stick lol. Think someone might have tried to slimJim it open and broke it. It was working perfectly when I parked it. Who knows. Now I gotta take the seat out to get the panel off and try to fix it. Boy, thats gonna be fun.First time I have locked it up in a year and look what happens. Think the car is punishing me for not putting it back in the garage lol.
Wish me luck
