So there has been this FC sitting in my yard forever...

Haha and its my damn fault! I have been busy as heck and have finally had a chance to work on it recently. This is Drift Kids ( Jareds) 89 Turbo II

I gutted and painted the engine bay because it was yellow/multi colored.

And a few pictures of the engine ports. Just a mild street port. This was before they were cleaned up. Motor is already together

More pictures tomorrow!

Good to hear that it's getting done ^_-
[I think Jared's FC was the first one I rode in... I'm looking forward to seeing it run again!]

sounds fun, I like the idea of the steering angle kit. I have never understood turbo timers ? I know what they are designed to do but not the point of it.

what turbo are you going to use ?

The point is to allow the oils inside the turbo to cool before the engine shuts down. In a FD the turbos are watercooled so it's pretty pointless. But with a oil cooled turbo it's a good idea IF you do a lot of hard driving. But typically it's just as easy to drive easy for the last couple miles of your trip and then turn it off.

correction i got the blitz DTT turbo timer " its been so long sience ive looked at it i forgot which brand it was" but ya i wont need the turbo timer feauture that much but im one of those better safe then sorry kind of ppl and it features a digital boost gauge that tells you your boost peak-hold and has a warning indacator for when your over boosting i belive. which i kinda liked. im still running a stock turbo but plan on geting a BNR stage 3 after i get an apexi pfc to better tune it with.

A lot of turbo timers offer features like volt reading, 0-60 times, 1/4 mile time, 0-100 times, and different things of the sorts. I use mine as a volt meter. And also a way to warm up the car without keys in it much safer to start it put the TT on 10 mins and arm the alarm

cool, I kinda figured people used them for the other features. I usually just drive esay for the last five mins and then let it idle for 30 seconds and shut it down.

More work...

List of mods:
Mild Streetport
Stage 2 Oil mods (passageways are bored, pump in/out ported, filler neck ported)
RX8 Hardened stationary gears with windowed bearings.
Pineapple Racing water seals (Viton o-rings...)
Pineapple Racing crust exhaust gaskets
OEM 3peice apex seals
VHT 2000f ceramic paint for irons and manifolds.

This thing has hellacious compression!
