so i had a pretty damn good day yesterday

so i went to work, boss pulled me aside, and offered me a better position, i'll bump up from 15 to 20 bucks an hour, i'll be able to move back to dallas and still do this job, and they want me to be one of the techs to go to japan for 2 years, doing the same thing i'm doing now, working on the navy/marine corp intranet project... i'm doing pretty damn good now that i got out of the navy, its crazy... so i'm gonna be moving back to dallas after the project here is done, yet before i leave for japan... also, my gf asked me yesterday "so how are we going to keep a relationship up?"... well things with us have been super boring, its been more of a roommate thing than gf/bf... my response was pretty simple, we haven't been keeping a relationship up right now... i'm gonna still live where i live for a few months while we finish up here, but after that, i'm gone... i can't wait, as much as i like some of the people i've met in this area, i'm totally ready to go back to the DFW area... imo it is a million times better than seattle...

Any plans on moving back up here? Sounds like you are set in Dallas! Good luck.

I don't really get the point of this thread. So basically you're posting about how you're finally glad to get out of here, don't like this area except for a couple people, don't like the gf you're living with anymore, and will never be back?

Well good for you I suppose, and thanks for sharing.

Guess it's a sin to dislike the Seattle area. Ho noz!

Good luck, man. Grats on the job and Japan.

No, it's just Elysian is a bitter bitter person that seems to hate a lot of people in this area and on the board, yet he continues to post as if the majority of us care. This really has nothing to do with anything but him and is a sort of "haha I'm leaving!" type thread, yet no one really gives a rats ***

He doesn't even have an rx7 anymore, and in fact made a post about how rotaries are terrible, biggest headache ever, he's so glad to never have to deal with them again, etc. When in fact it was just because he cannot work on it himself and had issues, boohoo.

Odd how you're the one coming across bitter in this thread. I'm not in your majority, but I don't mind his thread.

I'm not bitter at all

I'm just tired of Elysian crying about stuff and then posting and wanting praise and reassurance.

Good to hear things are going better for you! Take care. I have the same feelings for the VGDETT engine right now that you have for the rotary.... I guess we all gotta waste or time on something.... Good luck!

I bet you if someone else posted how they had a good day no one would think twice. So because someone is opinionative they shouldn't be heard? Cmon. Wouldn't you want someone to say Congrats to you if you posted something like that? Be happy for someone no matter who they are. Dont bring people down, lift them up.

Neat, I got negative rep from my posts here, pretty funny

What's most interesting is the praise I got from some, who will remain nameless, NW members that agreed with my posts 100% and thought the same thing. Guess I'm just the only one willing to say it... Oh well, don't really care

And blazer, I've gotten more crap in the NW section than anything, so do onto others as is done onto you I suppose? I don't hold anything against 99% of the people in here, most of you guys are great.
