Question Shops that change rotor bearings near Kirkland/seattle?

Anyone know of someone or some shop near the Kirkland/Seattle area that can swap out the rotor bearings for me? I don't have a press or access to the right size adapters and such to get them out myself, so I'm looking for a place that can hopefully do it for me that is relatively close for a fair price.

Any suggestions?

And for those interested, some shameless self promotion of the beginnings of my new engine project https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/my-engine-project-begins-431150/

No one? :\

How about anyone out there that has a pilot bearing puller that will work properly for a 2nd gen (I've heard that the ones you can rent need some "modifying")? If not I'm just going to go to a transmission shop and have them pull the old one and install my new one.

any decent machine shop should be able to press the bearing out and press the new one in. make sure they bend the ock tab over and mabe use some red loctite on the bearing itself. good luck on getting the pilotshaft bearing out...

I know Hayes sucks but Im sure they would be able to swap the berrings for you. Have you already checked there?

I thought about Hayes, but after some consideration I really didn't want to even go near that place

Just my personal preference. If all else fails and I can't find someone very close to me, I'll probably just contact Atkins and see if they'll do it for me.

Yes I figured as much, but like I said I'm looking for someone closer to me first as Atkins is a bit of a drive. I'll have to take a trip down anyways, though, to pick up some rebuild parts so I guess I could do it at the same time.

Still looking for more local at fist.

I took my car to Hayes with a recently <2k miles, overhauled Trany that was working perfect. Now its noisy when I push the clutch in and suspect my pilot berring is buggered. Roll the dice if you want to. You would be better getting a forum member that works on 7's all the time to help you do it. Part of owning a 7 is learning to work on it. Get a berring press at Harbour Freight cheap or rent one.

I don't really see the justification of buying a press and the correct size adapters I need for what little use I'd give it. I know how to work on my car, a rotary is really not that difficult of an engine, in fact it's one of the simplest things I've learned how to work with. However tools/etc that I'll be using once every couple years probably just doesn't seem too realistic to buy unless it's pretty cheap.

I would be willing to press in new brgs if for free if you want it just only takes a few min to do.

Really? I think I might take you up on that Dan, I'd really appreciate it

I could probably just do it when I make a trip down to Atkins to buy some parts I need for my build.
