There are no tickets, per se. You apply and pay for an entry badge, which you get when you get there. Having attended previously, we only pay $15 each (I can actually get in free, being accredited media too) but first timers pay $50 on site. You have to have some sort of evidence of belonging to a legitimate automotive business, but the standards are not too high. Usually a business card is enough. Do you have Freightliner cards? Apex Restoration? I might be making up some cards for a couple of our employees who want to go...

I do have a freightliner badge, interesting I thought it was more formal that that! So if I walk up the door and show my badge pay the 50 dolla and I get in? Sweet!! Then I may actually go - SEMA and then Sevenstock, man that's a lot of time off.

Sevenstock is on Saturday the 28th of October. The SEMA Show starts on Tuesday the 31st and runs through Friday the 3rd of November, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. I'm thinking of going down on Friday the 27th for Sevenstock, then hop over to Vegas on the following Monday, or something like that. SEMA is too big to see in one day or even two or three, particularly if you also attend the APEX Show at the Sands Convention Center (that's where all the overseas manufacturing reps are). But there's no hope of seeing everything anyway and by Thursday, walking is painful and motivation is entirely gone. Friday sucks anyway, because the vendors are trying to pack up early and traffic is hiddeous because 100,000 people are trying to get to the airport at the same time the weekend traffic is coming into town. One year, it took me 3 hours to get to the airport from the strip. Anyway, the SEMA Show is worth seeing at least once, just for the carnival atmosphere, the givaways and the celebrities (in a 5 minute period a couple years ago, I saw the OCC guys, Mario Andretti, Barry Maguiar, Richard Petty, and someone else I forget, just walking the floor...5 minutes out of 4 days).
