Saddest day for me. Vert is on craigslist, not by my choice.

So, as some of you may know, I recently moved from Portland, to Phoenix due to a family emergency. Unfortunately, I could not take the car with me. I left it in the care of my then girlfriend, who is now my ex. She has taken it upon herself to list the car for sale on craigslist here http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/2425145236.html she refuses to sell the car to me, or give me the title or anything, so unfortunately for me, I get to say goodbye to my vert. Hopefully one of you guys can buy it for cheap, and take of her.

Simple. Wire the money to someone you know and do the swap.

Well here's the problem. She didn't list a price, so I don't know how much she wants for it. Problem number two, is that I don't have the money. Like I said, hopefully an enthusiast picks it up so it' in good hands.

Oh even better. The car is sitting in a parking lot in West Linn, apparently the ignition went out. If someone lives near there, and can recover it, I'll be more than happy to pay you a few hundred bucks

I could be wrong, but if both names are on the title don't both people have to sign off on it? I hope someone can help you take care of this and get your car back.

I can go pick up your car and recover it for you... FC ignitions are easy to hotwire. if its the starter that only takes 10 minuts tops. I'm not gonna buy it but I'll hold it for you till you can get it..

As far as it seeming shady, I complete understand where you gentleman are coming from. It does seem fairly shady, since most of you don't know me from Adam. As far as why both names are on the title, when I went to register the car at DMV, I asked the gentleman there if I should register it in both names, in case she needed to drive it somewhere. He said it would be a good thing, to have both names on the insurance, and on the title, so if she got pulled over, there would be no suspicion, and no problems. If I can't recover the car within the next two days, she's just going to let it get towed from the lot. Last I heard, she went to get in the car and go somewhere, and it would not start. I'm not asking anyone to do anything illegal, or put themselves in harms way, I was simply posting to make people aware, in case someone was in need of a convertible, to keep it in the rx7club family.

No, I didn't get the car back. She ended up selling it to someone for $100.

holy ****. someone lucked out. reminds me of the time my dad had a 66 mustang cali special. he tried towing it threw texas. well the tire went flat on the mustang and he had no spare and he was in the middle of nowhere. my mom convinced him they couldnt tow it and he needed to leave it there. he ended up selling it to a guy at the next gas station for 100$

So, as a quick update. I just gave a quick call to the local DMV. According the the gentleman I spoke with, Oregon, is in fact a two signature state. The only way a car can be sold with only one signature is in the even of a divorce, or death. So there's still a small glimmer of hope if I can track down the car. Also, I was advised that if my signature was forged, to take legal action. Does anyone have more info on what I can do as far as a forged signature goes?

The problem is, is that I'm out of state, so court is a hard option. I called DMV, and they told me they can't place a "do not transfer" notification on the title until I file a police report. But I don't want to file a police report, unless I know for sure she forged my signature, so that's why I'm trying to track down the new owner to let them know. I've also debated calling the car in stolen, since I didn't give permission to sell the car, but I'm unsure if it would be a valid claim.
