WA s13 240sx coupe trade for s4 rx7 with stock s5 drivetrain on premix

hey my brother currently has a 1989 s13 stock 240sx coupe that he is talking to about maybe trading for a white s4 rx7 with a s5 turbo two driveline which currently is running on pre mix fuel. The rx7 has been on craigslist and possibly on rx7club and its the white one with the retarted black scoop on the non turbo hood. anyways I am trying to get an honest opinion about my brother trading his coupe for it. I have been told that its not good and not to go for it, I just want to make sure that he does not get way over his head if he does decide to go for it or to not go for it at all. what do you think could be the reason for premix? and does that have anything to do with the oil pump, or oil squirt system getting cogged up or needing to be replaced? the guy said that it is better for the engine because the 13bt engine are known for having bad oil injection and at high rpms it makes the car run better.

Not knowing anything about the condition of the two cars, I'd say if the FC runs, I'd certainly take it. Premixing usually doesn't indicate a problem, it indicates an owner that cares.

Pre-mix would mean factory system has been blocked off so the driver has to add oil instead of the car doing it by itself. Nothing wrong with that as long as you do it regularly. If you put a decent t2 hood on that car it wouldnt look like a piece

I don't know about up there.. but down here 240sx s are usually worth twice what an FC usually is..

Probably not quite as much in this case, but I'd look up what other 240s/FCs are going for and ask for the difference in cash on top...

Not necessarily Jordan. Some people premix in case the factory system goes faulty. Or if they are unfamiliar with the car already having the system they'll premix as well cuz they'll do anything they hear that sounds new without getting an explanation of why. One person says "you need to premix" and they'll do it without asking why.
