RX7s and PIR?
Hey so i was wondering if anybody on here gets together and goes to pir or race/drag or just to show off... I would love to find out if there were rx7 guys running their cars on the street course.
I have at least 3 more to add to this "get together"

yeah, probably not cheap..... well I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be too hard to round up a bunch of folks for a track day later on, but either way, there are no car clubs around my area, and its no secret us RX7 guys love a good meet and greet so a day to hang out at PIR even if there is no racing would be cool.

There are usually rx7 at the track for irdc scca and marque clubs-alfa, BMW, Porsche, Audi do track days too. It'd be easier to run with them as they already have the relationship with the track, dates and insurance.
speaking of which, can we join bmw club? do they not require bmw ownership.. the only trackdays i can do for now are mondays, and the only one i found is BMW. does alfa require membership?
Anyone can join bmw club (its for enthusiasts not owners) and it gives you access to alfa, porsche, vette, viper etc events as well as theres. To join porsche you have to have VIN number (they keep track of what is in junkyards so don't even try it).
I don't know about alfa membership requirements
I think BMW has the cheapest dues at $48/year. plus local shop and parts discounts which generally pays for the membership and then some.

I wonder if my T2 would pass a tech inspection. I have a huge crack acrossed my windshield, but its really low it goes accross the hood, not my line of view. could be covered with a window sticker. Its not rice if its functional to hide the crack.... right?
well to be fair we're sorta living up to our steriotype, broke rx-7 owners that don't have there own club. We should have one. I'm just saying our cars are more unique and rare than porsches, or BMW's
The club isn't very 'enthusiastic' about track days, or coordinating events. Sorry, I know you guys try.
There is the beacon rock drive coming up in Aug. but details are limited...?
I've been interested in going to a meeting, but they most events are skykart racing...???

I know you just didn't post that. As a former owner of a 71 RX2. 2 74 RX'4 and wicked Turbo FB, and a current co-owner of 2 BMW M's, I can assure you RX7's and RX8's are far removed from being rare. Let count up some numbers,

All this info is from the book Sports Car Color History Mazda RX7 A few Mazdas might be considered rare like a 95 R2 or a GTU's other than that they are a dime a dozen. Take for an example the iconic BMW E-36 M3, produced from 1995-1999 a little over 70,000 cars where sold during those five years, that was an incredibly popular BMW and still is, and no one considers that car rare except for the LTW version from 1995 which numbers less than 100.

I didn't say rx8's are rare. and just because that many sold when they were new, doesn't mean thats how many there are today. plently got wrecked the first few years, and the number of these cars decrease every year.
I see several porsches a day, and tons of BMW's. I can go a few weeks without spotting a older rotary. but RX8's are plentifull, just not older ones. eather way were more unique than any of them regardless of how many cars there are.
But since there so many more of them and so little of us is probably why we don't have a racing club.
I did know about rpnw, but like nick said, they don't do track days. at the cost I don't blame them.
