RX-7 in hit and run
For those of you that get the TNT, you may have noticed this story on the front page today.
Some *** wipe in a RX-7 hit a pedestrian on the side of the road and then took off. A bystander gave chase and the police ultimately found him. The pedestrian, a 43 year old woman, died of her injuries. The woman was also the daughter and sister of some very dear friends of mine. It appears that drugs and/or alcohol were involved.
The guy that chased the low-life said that at one point the driver pulled over because something must have happened to the RX-7. My guess is he blew the engine. First time I'm glad that these cars can be unreliable. The paper didn't say what year the RX-7 was. The RX-7 driver was Paul Anthony Cisco, age 40. At this point all I wish for him is a lot of rather unpleasant experiences while in jail then in prison.

This reinforces my theory that the rotary gods work off karma.
Thank you for sharing the story.
P.S. did anybody know this loser?
P.S.P.S. Is this something he could be put in jail for life or will he be free in 20 years kinda thing? Would it be considered vehicular homicide? "In general, it involves death that results from the negligent operation of a vehicle, or that results from driving whilst committing an unlawful act that does not amount to a felony."

wow....what a guy..even looks like a prison regular.
*shakes head*
Per The News Tribune: When told he had struck a pedestrian, the defendant acted as if he was unaware of this fact,” according to charging papers. When later told Wilkie-Moore had died, Cisco said, “Why is this (expletive) always happening to me?” the court documents state.

From the Bremerton Paper:
A South Kitsap man was been charged with vehicular homicide after hitting a Purdy-area woman with his car Friday evening, resulting in her death.
Pleas of not guilty were entered on behalf of 40-year-old Anthony Paul Cisco during his arraignment on Monday in Pierce County Superior Court. Cisco was also charged with failure to remain at the scene of an accident and driving without a license.
The 40-year-old man was arrested by deputies from the Pierce and Kitsap county sheriff’s offices on Friday, after he fled the scene of the accident and attempted to hide from deputies near his home along the 14000 block of Horseshoe Avenue SW, according to reports.
The woman was identified as Rebecca Wilkie-Moore, 43, according to a story in The News Tribune. She had two children and delivered papers for The News Tribune.
A witness saw the South Kitsap man hit Wilkie-Moore with his 1982 Mazda RX-7 along the 14600 block of Purdy Drive. She had been walking off the side of the road at about 4:45 p.m. The South Kitsap man got out of his car briefly, then drove away.
The witness followed the man as he headed toward Bethel-Burley Road, and he called 911. Another witness called 911 after the suspect drove into the oncoming lane of traffic near Sidney Road at Spruce Road. The suspect drove off the road into the ditch and then back on to Spruce Road at a high rate of speed, according to reports.
A Kitsap County sheriff’s deputy arrived at Horseshoe Lake and saw the man’s car abandoned, with the door open and the engine running. The windshield was “severely damaged and pushed in on the driver’s side,” according to the report.
A Pierce County deputy found the man with blood on his face, arms and hands in a driveway along the 15400 block of Horseshoe Avenue. As Kitsap County deputies walked up they heard the suspect say “I did it, I’m the one you’re looking for, can you drive me back to the collision?” according to reports.
A neighbor told deputies that the suspect had banged on his door, and when he opened it, the suspect said “I was just in a wreck and I need a ride,” according to reports.
According to The News Tribune, deputies reported that Cisco showed signs of intoxication, according to charging documents, and said he “was having trouble staying awake, appearing groggy and sleepy.”
Judge James Orlando ordered Cisco jailed in lieu of $150,000 at the request of prosecutors. He is next scheduled in court in August.

nah, the guy has had 11 felony convictions, and my guess is that is not even a tenth of what he could have had... the problem is what we do with the losers in our society. They just go on til they kill themselves or someone else.

i was there on the opposite direction of gig harbor at the time when the man was giving chase, sadly i did not see the whole thing. This is the kind of guys that should not be on the road. Deepest condolences to the family of the victim and Dave, sorry to hear that she's a friend of yours.
