Rtek Tuning

Hey everyone I was wondering who around here has any good experience with dyno tuners that are proficient with rtek. Let me know if you have any recommendations. Looking for something around the puget sound area.

Yeah that is probably what I'll end up doing. Just got a lot to learn first.

Nothing installed yet, but I have picked up the rtek 2.1, 720cc x4, walbro 255, and a K&N intake. Still trying to find a good exhaust option as well as planning a rebuild soon with a streetport.

racing beat revII 3" exhaust is a high quality piece, not very loud either.

Yeah that setup looks great. I'm hoping to find a used setup before I have to bite the bullet and pay full price. Where would you start looking for rtek basics aside from the manual? The rtek forum on here is quite a cluster****

yeah... theres some fairly decent timing maps in argxh threads, a popular method is to switch to map based timing and use one of his maps, it seems like the stock timing map gets kind of advanced in the high rpm, so with porting and higher boost you would want to use one of his maps,

make sure you get a good wideband, that will be able to hook up to the rtek ( as it supports inputs)
makes logging a/f much easier then just watching a gauge going down the road.

where do you live in wa, im moving to Puyallup in a few weeks, and id be willing to help you with tuning if you'd like, at your own risk of course...

I noticed you were rebuilding, you may want to consider some stronger detonation resistant apex seals if you do end up doing your own tuning.

I'm in Des Moines/Federal way area. That would be awesome. I've still got a few things to purchase but I'll let you know. Things look easy enough with arghx's maps.
