WA RPNW - Beacon Rock drive 5-16-2009

We are heading out to beacon rock Saturday for a fun day of twisty roads and great scenery.

We will meet at 9:45am at the Shell station right off I-5 in La Center, head down some fun roads and have lunch at the upper Beacon Rock park picnic area.

No, we will be getting to beacon rock about ~1 in the afternoon and having lunch there. But you could go for whatever part of the drive you wanted and take off whenever.

A few of us will be heading to Mosier ( by hood river ) to watch the http://www.oregontrailrally.com/ afterwords, and anyone who wants to join us is welcome too.

we are meeting at the shell station right off I-5 in La Center, ( about 10min north of vancouver )
on Saturday at 9:45.

We will wait a bit for everyone to show up, and get all the waivers signed, and turn directions passed out, then head out from there.

Should be getting to beacon rock about 1pm, where we will eat lunch.

Bring your own picnic lunch!

Also if you have a hand held 2way radio, bring that!

Sure, I'm driving my M3, and i'll either lead, or take up the rear, to keep all rotarys together.

I'm not sure if I want to do this or not. It's a very far out of the way trip for me, I live in Camas... I'm a straight shot right to beacon rock... haha

But I wanna go on the cruise. We will see how I feel about it later tonight... haha

See you guys at the annual beach cruise with RPNW this September.

Great turn out, perfect weather and minimal traffic. Thanks Matt for organizing the route!!! That was one of the best drive's I've done since coming out to OR. I think we might have to do it again next month.

Well, sounds like you all had a great time. Sorry I missed it. I did the Cascade Loop on my bike...got into a game of cat and mouse with a Corvette....140+. It was crazy.
