ROTUS is now on the road!

After a couple of years playing with my home build rotary Super 7, I am now street legal. Officially the car is a "Street Rod," which means I can run it on the streets without a windshield, hood, bumpers, or fenders. Ok, so I need to drive it with goggles on, and it is a bit loud; yet I can take it on the roads. Wahoo!

 

Sweet! I saw a local shop that you had working on your MS setup but I can't remember their website. I'm looking for someone to add a few things to my MS and then tune it.

It's cool that you have that beast on the road now though!

 

Nice, where are the pics? It will be cool to see this thing sometime.

 

Congratulations on the birth of your newest rotary baby. Once I get back I will gladly relocate that painting from the Rx-2 over to the "Rotus", no problem.

Pretty sure I saw you guys out autocrossing a few weekends ago, did you notice a couple blackhawks buzzing around overhead?

 

Yes, I saw them. Looks like they were doing touch and goes at the airport. Very cool, so what were you doing?

 

Training up a couple new pilots. Just come traffic patterns for pratice. I tried to take pics of you guys but I only had my phone lol.

 

Well, after a bit of work and a good deal of talking with the state and insurance companies my car is legal and insured. Took if for a real drive today...I am still grinning!

Just took my car our to the Autocross track for some fun. It handles very differently on street tires. Had a lot of fun none the less.

Have a friend who is an engine builder who is moving to Germany, so I asked if Army of One would build me one. Now I have a 6 port Renesis sitting on the engine stand to go in. The engine has some light porting, up graded apex and side seals with some oiling mod. Should be a great little beast

I have had to alter the intake to make it fit under my hood. I will still have the low speed secondary ports opening as well as the auxiliary ports, yet needed to take pneumatic system out.

This will be a winter project, right now I just want to play.
