Last year, at the Portland Hot Rod Show, there were TWO rotary powered hot rods. Neither were Rat Rods, by any stretch of the imagination, but it was nice to see some representation. I think it would be pretty cool. A lot of the low-budget RX-7 stuff is already considered a Rat Rod revival thing...it would be nice to see a classic Rat Rod, like the one pictured, with a rotary. I think the cops would be much more forgiving and probably easier to register, too.

The guy with the two rotary hot rods is Don Story... He owns a machine shop here in tri-cities. The same guy that painted my car painted his black bantom, I have never seen his other car...

I think that if you went with a rotary you would have to go with a P-port...gotta preserve a little bit of the sound.

I just thought they were light in weight, rough to the eye, and just a blast to scream around in. I was thinking of doing some thing more retro with my Rx2 or RX3, but it still would not have the attitude.

I always thought that a 65' mustang with a tri-rotary would be the coolest ride

There was one early Mustang with a rotary. I think it's when Ford was getting their hands dirty in the rotary game some time in the late '60s or early '70s.

one of those with just 12a in it would be fun as sin to ride around in!
(but I just like the 12a for reliability purposes)

Chevy also expirimented with the rotary. They were going to release 4 rotor and 2 rotor versions of the Vette. Too bad they hadn't!
