Joe, hitting the bottom of the dash used to work
All the gauges worked fine after work yesterday. I installed an engine to chassis ground that afternoon also. Alas, this morning was the same issue
My volt gauge was reading around 10-11 volts (I had a cigarette lighter volt gauge reading 13.7 volts), temp gauge slowly pegged as the car warmed up, the oil pressure gauge is NOT hooked up and was reading zero and the gas gauge was readying almost full (although really close to empty)
After looking through the wiring diagram at http://foxed.ca/foxed/index.php?page=rx7manual it looks like all the gauges are grounded through the sending units, so, I'm not sure if there even is a common gauge cluster ground. Well, there is a "B" ground shown on the gauge cluster wiring diagram... guess I need to try and find it.
Anyone else had this issue? Maybe know where a good place to ground is?
Rob... i appreciate the offer to look at my 7, but, I have a hard time paying someone to do something I should be able to fix myself.

Any chance of doing another weekend like this again? I didn't get the chance to go this last time, I'd love to get a compression check (I feel like I'm dying a slow death), and my TPS is faulty... haha (got a replacement)

83 gs. yeah I may have to buy that crush washer from you guys also to hold me over. I went to 3 auto parts stores and Fred Meyer none worked out. I took a look at it at my moms house and it fell apart. its just old I guess. I want mech seconds, longer duration accelerator pump, and no emissions crap. what other mods could be done?

Robert, sorry I haven't got back at cha. Been pretty busy at work. But it's only thrown 2 codes since I've set the tps. The check engine will remain solid until I give it gas, then it goes away. Past could times I've driven it it hasn't done it though. I'm pretty curious about this code checker too. Would you need me to bring my car up there?

Ignition Coil Recommendation
Hey guys,
I'm thinking about upgrading from the stock coils to a set of MSD Blaster 2 coils. I'm currently running stock ignition, NGK B9S spark plugs at 15 gap on my 12A with a cartech turbo running 8-9 psi, locked dizzy at 10* advanced, Carter 400cfm carb, Carter fuel pump at 6 psi, Summit canister fuel filter and full 3" exhaust.
I was thinking of switching back to my NGK BR8EQ plugs after the coil upgrades... any thoughts? (I originally switched to the tight gap on the B9S plugs because I was warned about flame "blow out" at high rpm... although I had never been subject to this phenomenon before.)
Are BR8EQ's all around good or should i go with a colder/hotter plug on the leading/trailing/both??
EXACTLY which MSD coils should I buy?
Any other coil recommendations?
Thanks for all the help.
-Chris
