LOL... After Sunday/s drive and all those aggresive corners, I decided it was time to complete my next upgrade.

I ripped out my GS open-diff drum brake rear end and swapped my GSL rear end with disc brakes, LSD and steel braided brake lines

LOL.. I just did a couple donuts with the front end staying in one place... and the burnout following was epic

So WORTH the trouble of the swap. I'm ready for a burnout compitiion and some more cruises

Thanks Joemaddox for coming over and helping me bleed the brakes

Man, I wish I wouldn't of missed the drive. You guys left like 15 mins before I got back. But it was worth it. I put in the 2g alt and coil, still need to get a gasket for the header. But went for a test drive kicked the clutch in third and threw my open diff sideways around the roundabout by my house. it use to just kinda chirp half *** burn out. Please note that it wasn't very pretty, but I wasn't expecting it to actually break all the way loose. I want an LSD so bad.

my neighbor took the header to work today and tig welded the slip fit up. I'm tempted to just put it on with the old gasket and just replace it later. Or have a fatty exhaust leak like russianmob

I actually welded those gaps where bolts on the flanges are and exhaust leak is gone.

I'm looking for a 84-85 but would settle for 83 GSL 4x110. FC parts won't work, I saw one a while back for like $75 but I needed to buy other parts to get my car on the road. but I plan on rebuilding it with new clutchs and some high gearing. 4.30 or 4.44 is what I'm leaning towards.

did you get my pm. not to be double posting I asked in thizz's thread also. I hasn't shown up in my outbox. I sent it twice. I don't want to be stalker blowing your PM box up.

and I really need to get a radiator fan before it gets any hotter outside. I had to turn the heat on today in traffic to keep it down. that just sucked......

From what I remember you should be able to put FC 114.3x4 hubs/brakes on..
Coincidentally, I'll have a set available soon [I'm going 5-lug on my base after my vert is running..]

Thanks Robert and Bob, I also had a good time ^_^

Sorry about being slow about this, but my picts are coming soon..

This is why I hate my OEM gauges.

Going to work today and I see this:

When my aftermarket shows this:

Anyone know an easy fix? This happens rarely and seems to "bounce back" after a bit.

Looks like the temp sensor wire has grounded out somewhere.. Just my guess. Maybe trace your wiring and see what you can find. Good thing you have an after factory one that works.

I need to clarify that I have almost 190 miles on this tank of gas and I have more like a quarter tank not a full tank. The "funkiness" is affecting BOTH gauges. I'm worried something may be wrong with the gauge board or maybe a shared ground?

This has always been an "on-again-off-again" issue which is why I installed the aftermarket gauges. The turbo install hasn't affected the gauges other than giving off a plesent WHOOSH in the background

Funny my gas gauge is doing the same thing. lol. I just droped my tank a few days ago to clean it and put a new intank filter in it. I think that may have something to do with it.
Hey Chris, want to bring it by the shop sometime and I could look at it for ya?

Joe, hitting the bottom of the dash used to work

All the gauges worked fine after work yesterday. I installed an engine to chassis ground that afternoon also. Alas, this morning was the same issue

My volt gauge was reading around 10-11 volts (I had a cigarette lighter volt gauge reading 13.7 volts), temp gauge slowly pegged as the car warmed up, the oil pressure gauge is NOT hooked up and was reading zero and the gas gauge was readying almost full (although really close to empty)

After looking through the wiring diagram at http://foxed.ca/foxed/index.php?page=rx7manual it looks like all the gauges are grounded through the sending units, so, I'm not sure if there even is a common gauge cluster ground. Well, there is a "B" ground shown on the gauge cluster wiring diagram... guess I need to try and find it.

Anyone else had this issue? Maybe know where a good place to ground is?

Rob... i appreciate the offer to look at my 7, but, I have a hard time paying someone to do something I should be able to fix myself.
