Thank you all for the posts, i think i will pass this just fine. Seems the first couple days are the worst, as its getting easier to handle... But i do want to thank you guys for the info and the compassion...
I stocked up on lollypops and random edibles to kill habits i didnt even realize i had (i cant believe how instinctual it is to get in the car and light a cig if the kids not in it!)... so thats helping, seems getting to be and controlling the urge to say dickish things is all i am dealing with right now besides the obvious what the hell to do...??? I normally smoke so....now..????.....ugh....
I could list dozens of things I feel are more difficult then quiting cigs, I have been a smoker for 6 years too. I can go weeks without needing one, I go days without wanting one, but the point is I don't beat myself up over it, we are all adults and can make good decisions.
If this is the hardest thing you ever have to do, your either living a charmed life or not aiming high enough with what you want.
Nut up and stop buying them, stop asking your friends/co workers for them, tell your girl that you won't stick her if she smokes, throw your liters away, leave your debit card at home, don't hang out with people that smoke until your comfortable it will not be an issue

well thanks for your two cents, but if you read what the point of me posting this thread was, i was asking for advise on how long (if someone here knew) the physical symptoms would last or at least be hard to ignore...
Not to be a dick back, but who the **** are you? I was hooked on crank/crys for ten years, i died for 9mins and 32 secs, i have been placed in two mental institutions, i grew up in state custody in foster/proctor, residential, rehabs and on the streets, when not there i had five awesome fathers who helped beat me and my brother, i only made it to the seventh grade becuase i was considered autistic and was treated like ****... oh and i was born with no left hip.....
I was mearly asking for some ******* advise, not looking to be talked down on, or talked **** on, and frankly 6 year to 20 years isnt ****, so again, who the **** are you??

yeah, i got it handled... lol... It was just the first few days that i was annoyed about and was hopin for input as to when it would stop.. It stopped, and now lifes moving on... I still cant get over the habit (that i had no idea was so strong) to habitually light one up when i step outside, get in the car, after sex, food, working,ect...
But we can really let this thread drop now, i got the info i needed and now would like to move on and talk about something else... Plus i dont think i can take another person telling me i have had a charmed life... That was a first

yeah i got the info that i needed, and am passed all physical parts.. Just have the habitual want for one and motion to look in pockets for one every time i walk outside, eat, have sex, work,drive,ect...
But before i get another ******* comment about how "easy" it is and that i have lived a "charmed life".. I would rather not take the advise from a person who thinks that sheltering yourself and becoming a hermit is the right choice or even a logical one... I was a very personal thing for me to post this thread, and i wasnt and am not looking for encouragement or sympathy, just info.. Got it so it can drop now....
Let lock it up please
