well, I dropped it off. He's got a nice big shop out at his house with a paint booth, a PPG paint station, and a golden retriever.
He was working on a 55 corvette convertible, very pretty. He's gonna let me know when he starts on it so I can swing by and check the progress. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

INB4T Primer
Before the Primer, stripped with body work done. He also found that no only was the car repainted, but it had some front AND rear end damage, which I paid him a little extra to take care of...
And before anyone says it, I am behind the time line I originally was told, but he took some extra to finish up the car before mine, and then had some family stuff going on, but I have so much work to do on this vehicle, I am in no hurry, and this stuff happens even in shops.
Anyway I chose a color, so I should be getting the car back end of this week/early next week.

Battle Ground. Awesome guy I'm almost ready to recommend him without even seeing the finished product. His work up to this point though has been really good.
3000 for paint and body
+500 for the frame work, and a couple other small custom things

Body Work
Here is the last parts of body work he did for me, this doesn't include the normal filler for the small dings, but there wasn't alot of that anyway, the body was pretty clean.
We found that, not only had this car been repainted (very poorly) it has front end damage, rear damage, and some access holes for popping out dings, that why were plugged with rubber caps. This is the read end damage that was repaired, it was repaired on both sides.
Just forward of the engine cradle, we saw some folding in the body, we guess from an accident, it looks like he hit someone and the frame folded at these spots on both sides. I could have left it, but forward of the engine cradle there is nothing really to structurally hold the frame. If the car got into another accident it could probably fold completely in. So he drilled access holes on both sides, hammered on side out and welded some reinforcements, and just completely cut out the other side.
An access hole I had filled...
Finally a seam running down about the middle of the door.
