The pedal method only works on certain models...
The easiest way is to just pull the EGI fuse [under the cover in the engine bay, on the strut tower on the driver's side..], and then turn the key to start and let it spin about 15 seconds [may be more.. mine was always 10-15sec, others have had to do it longer..], put the fuse back and try starting it [no throttle].
If it starts up, let it run for at least a few minutes to get back to normal.. and if the tach. isn't working, just wait the few minutes and then restart the car and it'll be back to normal.

so change of subject. i dunno bout all u weekend night time drifters lookin for huge parking lots n amazing corners, this is for you. so i followed some friends out to 181st area in between ptown n gresham area, i suppose its gresham thought; well went down there to find a badass spot but by the time i knew where i was going the cops had already showed up cuz my friends were there b4 me. so i go to turn around and i get fing pulled over! the cops tell me that if they catch us acting like idiots on the road its a 400 plus ticket and they'll tow the car sooooo... who ever is in gresham wtf! how do u get away w/ illegal stuff over there. cops were after us all nite!!! they were swarmping all over the fing place it was insane. ive been on the retard illegal race type dealeo scene up here for a while and honestly i'll never go back to that area ever again it actually turned me off a lot! im not even joking its like we robbed a bank thats how many cops were out looking for us. i personally didnt do **** and spent the night trying to catch up w/ the main group so i was always really late. i even got booted out a parking lot by a rent a cop. arg. . . never again. so lets here you guy's ridiculous stories and i wanna here whats up w/ the gresham kids cuz i dont even know what to think.

first of all thanks for offering help ProjectKyo
but the rx7 is being a beezy to me and not starting up, and iam kinda low on money
so my lil 7' won't be out and about for a while.
and speaking on gresham, MWMburton i live by gresham on 148th on division; I personally never EVER go there not unless, like you said to get a hefty ticket and towed away, thats a f****** hot spot anytime of the day for cops. i got pulled over in my ugly *** mazda mx6 and the cops said i didnt even have insurance, he went back to his cop car and came back and said that i switched my insurance to Geicko, F****** i dont even have that insurance. Plus the gresham police have nothing to do over there, but to pull people over for no apperent reason, so yeah don't go over there not unless you have a f****** street bike to run from them

sry to change the subject again....
does anybody use a "Fuel Impact Cut Off Switch?" Is it better then maunaly cranking the engine and all that stuff, cause i did that process this whole morning and nothing happened. ='(
If so, would anybody know where i could get a Fuel Impact Cut Off Switch or fuel cut switch thingy around town or online?

Impact...?
If pulling the fuse, cranking, and reinserting didn't work then a Fuel Cutoff Switch wont help either.. [it's effectively the same thing as pulling the fuse, but in that case you're actually switching the connection to the fuel pump on and off...]
So.. You might have some other trouble going on..
Jump over to the second gen. Tech section and look in the FAQ for a thread that will walk you through all the possible problems ^_^
[The FAQ is sticky'ed to the top of the main section, not the archive]

AWESOME quote! lol..
Saint313, welcome ^_^ The Portland area has pretty mellowed out RX-7 owners, but you might come by the RPNW meeting sometime [It's on the first wednesday of every month at the Round Table Pizza on Capitol Hwy.. in S. Portland]
Other than that, watch the forum for other events ^_^
