oh snap tony bro where the hell have you been man, my car is like totally different then from last time you saw it

Nick_d_TII 10-30-07 02:45 PM

I'm from oregon. I have a r'ex. Do you? Anyone want to change my front wheel bearing?

ProjectKyo 10-30-07 02:56 PM

LOL i think i can help you.

Josh18_2k 10-30-07 07:21 PM

do you have the means to remove the bearing race from the hub? thats what im worried about. my front bearings are pretty well trashed.

Nick_d_TII 11-01-07 02:44 PM

It just keeps getting noisier... i'm not even sure its the bearing, its not the heat shield for sure, but also the wheel doesn't have any 'slop' either..?...

I noticed it after i put on some 1" spacers, don't see how that would make a metal-metal sliding squeaking kind of noise tho?

hmmm i could use a fender roller... but no one in here knows where to find one....

I used to have a subaru & the front axles and wheel berrings go out all the time. I had a 2000 rs w/ the AVO turbo kit on it and with the odometer showing 130K i think i replaced 2-3 axles and 2-3 wheel berrings, look at the "boot" on the axle and see if its ripped, when all the grease gets flung out of it it'll make a noise like that when you turn, or if it does it constantly its probally the wheel berring.

YO ! lets set up a meet for sometime in december!
i live in troutdale, but i drive skylin, germantown road and old columbia highway all the time.
We should meet up in a month or so so ppl can plan for it!

ProjectKyo 11-04-07 12:07 AM

I'm down. Where would be a good mutual spot for all of us? Sonics in hillsboro has always been a place where car meets happen, so I'll throw that idea out there.

kapn krunch 11-04-07 12:45 AM

ill be willing to go to sonic if i still have an rx the new area i moved into dont like my rx much and sent me a letter from the housing assocation stating that my silver vehicle was in disrepair and was to be removed from the area. only problem is its got current tags i drive it often and it has no damage or anything. only problem with it is it needs a new muffler and winsheild

Let's try and get more ppl first. So far I think 3 or 4 people are down for it. Is everyone cool with weekdays or do you prefer weekends?

Did you have to sign anything prior to moving in? If not, then they don't have anything against you.

RXzeben 11-05-07 12:12 PM

so im noticing that alot of people need new front bearning, including myself. forget sonics, we should just meet up somewhere and change everyones bearings. lol

micah 11-05-07 12:17 PM

I have a 12ton arbor press. :) You just need to bring the bearing press tools. Oh.. and drive out to B.F.N. lol.

Why not do it there, LOL I was thinking maybe wednesday? 8ish?

Josh18_2k 11-05-07 05:54 PM

are yuou suggesting a wheel bearing party? or are you talking about meet up and drive.
wed at 8 is fine with me (for either event..)

ProjectKyo 11-05-07 06:56 PM

I guess we can discuss the bearing party at the meet n drive. So is everyone good with say next wednesday at 8?

kapn krunch 11-05-07 07:00 PM

i can try to make it on wed. and there was no paperwork from the house about the dos and donts of cars so i told them to take a hike. so for now i still have rx

Josh18_2k 11-06-07 12:36 AM

when you say next wed.. do you mean the 7th or the 14th?
and where are we meeting (kyo seems to be the guy in charge here...)

ProjectKyo 11-06-07 11:02 AM

14th because there is a RPNW meeting tomorrow and I don't want to have two conflicting dates. So Wednesday the 14th @ 8:00pm @ Sonics in Hillsboro? Is anyone down for this date and time?
