Oregon Rx-7 Owners
Where are all the portland people at?
|
Usually... Lurking, hiding, waiting....
The RPNW meet at Round Table Pizza is coming up real soon though.. Wednesday@the round table on Capital highway [Can't quite remember the exit number.. but if you're heading south it's a little ways out from downtown on the capital highway exit ^_-] If you search a little, I think Blake's post has a map to it. Other than the RPNW meeting.. the Portland area is pretty disjointed. |
Aw man, I'm not sure if I can make it to the meet. But I would like to see a bigger community in oregon.
|
well anyways I'll start it off =] I'm usually around around the SE 82nd area and I go to PSU. I drive a NA 86 base model (see signature pic). Postponing S5 turbo motor swap until spring/summer... or whenever it gets warm again.
|
Im in gresham. if you've seen my car im sure you'd know it. its a candy cane :-)
|
haha I know you. You used to work at Performance Warehouse. You quit a little bit after I started.
|
I am in Hillsboro...if you traffic Baseline or Cornell you'll spot my Red Hoopty.
|
LMAO I'm never in hillsboro.

|
We hide and come to track days ;)
|
hide. . . mhmmmm. im pretty sure theres just a lack of portland area enthusiasts is all. im in beaverton and have tried to get meets together around town but much to my dismay only one or two at best. most that have ever been gotten together besides an rpnw meet is like 3 lol.
you work a PW? i work at baxter, do you work will call or what? red hoopty, gotta be more specific than that. after all it is hillsboro and there are many hoopty's |
im over on the north side of portland and worked at performance warehouse also i saw josh's car there a few times after ian pointed it out in the lot. i worked at pw until agust so chances are i know most of the ex pw employees in this thread.
|

<--- (avatar) My red hoopty is a '93 FD VR Touring, black power coated rims, and a couple extra gauges for sanity/peace of mind. |

i quit becasue they treat everyone like shit there i was like the 5th most senior employee there most people had only been there for 3 or less months, where id been there for a 1.5years. they wanted us all to work 12 hour shifts everyday and do 20 diffrent jobs but wouldnt pay anyone more then 10$ an hour for it. so most people found higher paying jobs at nike's warehouse. and most of the people from the portland warehouse bailed when they moved to hillsboro.

Well I'm in the SE Area around 82nd, I own a black 87 TII, I'm apart of a group call Gripswing! You normally will see me on i205, i84 and highway 26 because I work at Nike.
|
im at the beaverton store, u'll see my fb.
yah i figured the warehouse was in pretty bad shape cuz no one was happy about all those idiot kids zeroing parts after lookin for 30 seconds. no joke some guy zeroed a part cuz he couldnt reach it and he couldnt opperate the forklift. yah when i went to the portland anex there were like 3 ppl there it was ridiculous. lol and when they want you to work those 12 hr. shifts and you do and you get all that overtime they yell at you then right? lol its fricken ridic |
SE portland. I own a gutted white MR2 with gold gab sports, and my brother has a black 93 Rx7 with gold gram lights. We should be out to more of the track days this coming year.
|
Well I've got a couple 87's..
the Super Base [profile pict], and a GXL. [gunmetal] both down at the moment.. [water seals on the base, rear diffmount/DEQ on the GXL] I'm down in Tualatin, but I work at the Mac Shop in Lake Oswego [whatever one you might be thinking of you're probably wrong ^_-] I've been wanting to get out to meets more often but it usually doesn't work out [and it doesn't help that now both FCs are down.. ] |

|
I live in milwaukie but usually spend my time in se portland, by 82nd and holgate. i drive a red 88 2+2 "slammed" to the ground.

isnt it wierd how 90% of portland rx7 owners work(ed) at pw...
yah i was da illest weekend puller.. but 8.50 aint cutting it (and hillsboro is too damn far!). so now i drive a truck for almost twice that. |
You may have seen me around portland/beaverton...I drive a chevy s10... stock... metal rims....
Oh and my montego FD :lol2: which is in pieces *see the monster thread so until then its a :Wconfused paper weight! lol buy my parts so I can pay off my swap! |

i got the hella conversion eventually but first they sent the wrong ones and then i ordered the euro spec ones and but em on that day so its all good. the warehouse is just in shambles, there are soo many things to fix. not just in the warehouse but in all the stores, i think since the warehouse move all the stores inventories are off or maybe ours is but now were switching brands on certain parts n everyone puts em in the wrong spot!!! arg! |

yah i really wish it would just funtion the way it should, get rid of the idiots and start gettin organized. the guys who do the nite stock do a pretty good job but the ppl in the day might as well had called in sick cuz then theyd have a reasonable excuse to not get our parts. and the ppl who run w/c r asses, "blah blah blah im busy right now" . . . "GET ME MY DAMN PARTS!!!" gesh i fricken could throttle some of those ppl

thats ridic, if the rest of the "team" cant keep up too bad for them they need to get there ass in gear n get the job done. if someone told me i was doing to good of a job id be a lil confused and if they said i was makin em look bad id tell em they need to ship up or ship out

Hi folks... I am not driving an FC right now, but I was driving a patchy white S5 NA in Newberg, Sherwood, Hillsboro and the areas between. My car will be finished soon... Start looking for a shiny black S5 NA. :) See sig link "My Car" for more info on the car... currently painting it in my booth.
I NEVER see 7's.... there is a nice black FD here in Newberg though on my way home from work (hwy 219). |

Wow I can't wait to see your car. From the pics it looks hella sick already. The interior is already batter than the entire condition of my car. I wish I could do the same for mine, but unfortunately my 7 is my daily driver. I'd love to slap on a new paint job but no time and resources.

I am in gresham, I work at Autozone on division. I tried to get on at Baxters but they didnt want to hire me, maybe that is a good thing, not that I get paid very well at Autozone but I am working on being moved up to PSM. I kind of like working there, I hated doing my other job installing windows in homes but I sure am good at doing that. Oh hey Scott, its good to see you have joined the forum, sorry I havent called in awhile been busy with stuff.
