Oregon Coast Rally

The RPNW Calendar says this was 9-11/12, but I have yet to see any posts about it? Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it this year due to a previously planned whitewater rafting trip with my family, but I'd be interested to hear about it...maybe some photos too???

You have my word that next year I WILL be there.

One other thing...it's coming up on 3 years since Blake died. He may be gone, but he's not forgotten.

Actually I was about to post about this...

Last weekend we did NOT go on the drive.

Originally one person was in charge but he had stuff come up, so it shifted to another person who also had stuff come up.. and then it fell to me.

Sadly, by that point only 3 people [My Dad, David with the white vert. and I] were still able to go, and by able I mean those two were while I was sick.

So it was postponed to this coming weekend! The 25-26th.

So if you want to come along for the drive there's still time.

The plan is to meet up in the Fry's parking lot near the furniture
store [which is across from the McDonalds] at 9AM and leave by 9:45AM.

I attached the route to this post.

As far as hotels.. I couldn't find the one listed in the previous directions, so I'd suggest:

http://www.sailorjack.com/aspx/m/Rooms_and_Rates
$70 for a double queen room

Or

Motel 6 Lincoln City #4172
$63 for a double queen

Also, please post if you're coming - I have to print out some waivers [they release RPNW of liability]

Yeah.. I was hoping for just a day drive, not an overnighter.

The second day is pretty optional.. I haven't even done the second day before [last year the group I was staying with and I did other stuff on Sunday -- the two years before I didn't feel up to the second day]

If everyone wants to just do the first day that's cool with me. Plenty of fun driving in just that much time.

Also, everyone coming should bring FRS radios if they have them - sometimes out in the country the cells don't reach...

I hope to see people tomorrow! ^_^
