I was just up at timberline Thursday, dicked around with a few guys I met there and hit a small jump they made a few times while my friend was applying for a job in the different kitchens. They don’t pay very much there but he said they would give him a season pass if he got a job there, so hopefully he gets hooked up and I will be up there all the time anyways.

Any of you guys ever go to Wistler/Blackcomb?
God damn that place is bad ***! Last time I was up there they had some world championship going on, so there were tons of people and lots of good stuff going on.

Ya by far that is my favorite place I have gone. Not that I have been to to many, but it puts baker, and sunvalley to shame. Trying to set up another trip fore this spring.

I would like to make it to mamouth, and I have a friend that moved to Asssssspin (I dont know the French are ******** Lloyd) because of some girl, hopefully I will get invited there someday, but that chick is as annoying as hell.

But ya that would be cool to go up and do a little boarding with the rotary crowd.

What kind of board and bindings do you guys ride?

I have grown very acustumed to mine, though I always get **** from everyone for what I run, but it works for me. I use a neversummer 154 from daddys(those guys rock) and switch bindings and Nice boots. I don’t think they make them anymore, but they are very comfortable and don’t look like moonboots.

I'll go LMAO

I've only been once, and that one time I hit a tree I can turn into the mountain but not away from it. Might be fun to "learn from the pros"

Dude!! anytime you want a trip up to crystal let me know. I'll even bring the buddies along and we will go and hike the back country.....show you what REAL whoreing is all about ( I mean POWDER WHORING BABY!!!!)

I'm a little screwed right now as I only have weekends off......but I have to go some time

Anyway.....I think I'll start off the season with my SIMS 164....something I can trash. I also use FLOW bindings......they are the best binding in the world....go check out their website ....real unique and very comfortable and rock solid.

Those neversummer boards kick *** man..THEY ARE ******* TANKS...but sometimes that's what gets the job done.... My buddy has one and the thing just will not die.

Anyway...for now If you are headed up on a weekend to anything somewhat local.....give me a PM

Ohh ya.....Whister is THE SPOT in the northwest!!!!!!

Ya I have 2 of them, and they really aren’t that heavy, I haven’t lost any camber on my 154 and I usually ride every week if not several days a week sometimes. That board can fly, but my other one is for the POW, its much wider and longer, I think it is like a 168 but its not my primary board.

After as much riding I do you would think I would be some kind of badass or something, but I mainly just like to go fast and go big. No fancy **** like spins or flips, (no coordination or ability to tell were I am when I am in the air) I haven’t broke or sprained anything yet so its working for me, I have a few friends that can do a little bit of it, but I haven’t been riding with them for awhile.

The flows really are an acquired taste I think, I have rode those for like 2 weeks, but they just don’t give me the dexterity that I need when I am riding. I feel like a solid plastic GI Joe on a snowboard with those. I mean the control is great you don’t have to do **** but move your body weight, but there is something so unnatural about them that I just didn’t continue using them. I have used just about ever binding there is, and I keep coming back to my 65s. light low profile and I can click in with ease before I get off the lift(I can hear the liftys screaming at me in my head right now) plus they are lightning fast when your in the backcountry to just click off and get out of a bad spot if you ever have the need, and just click right back on with minimal time wasted to slide a few feet if it is in your interest to do so.

I have also been contemplating building a switch compatible snowshoe so I could click in and out when there is any long hiking to do. That would really be cool!

Have you looked on ebay, I was on there last year looking for stuff(got a unused brand new bonfire platinum coat for like $100) and they seemed to have real good prices from what I could tell. Plus a lot were from this area so you could usually save a lot on shipping that way by just picking it up, and you can go look at it beforehand to see if the base is OK, and check the camber.

Just saw this thread while searching for something else and thought I would post since I just got back from 2Ft+ of powder today. It was nice! Plus lift lines where near nonexistent.

Heading up there tomorrow if anyone is going to be there, don’t miss out on dry deep powder.

Supposed to get up to 30" of snow tonight in the Cascades. Why does it have to happen on a Friday night? I detest weekend crowds...

Actually, the winds are going to make it miserable up there tomorrow. I'll probably try for early next week.
